I am a Slovenian professional flutist based in Hannover, currently completing my Master's Degree in Music Arts. My musical journey has been deeply shaped by both performance and pedagogy. I found my passion in teaching over three years ago while working at a Waldorf School in Slovenia. Since then, I’ve found joy in guiding students of all ages—sharing not just technical knowledge, but also creativity and emotional depth that music brings. As a performer, I’ve won several awards in Slovenian national competitions, and I have many experience playing in chamber ensembles and orchestras. I perform regularly with the Flute Quartet Inuaria, and have collaborated in various chamber groups, including wind and string trios. I have also experineces playing in professional orchestra, like the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra. Whether I’m performing or teaching, my mission is always the same: to express, to connect, and to inspire through music.

I’m a flute student at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw), studying both performance (Konzertfach) and music pedagogy (IGP). I’m currently offering private flute lessons in Vienna for beginners and intermediate students, and I’m starting to take on new students for the coming semester. Santiago tailors each flute lesson to the student's level and goals, from beginner to advanced musician. He combines a solid technique acquired through his training at the Teatro Colón and the Geneva University of Music with a progressive approach. A typical lesson begins with a warm-up and technical work (breath control, embouchure, fingering, tone), primarily at the beginner level, followed by the study of a repertoire chosen together, and then exercises in musicality and interpretation. The goal is always to help the student progress while fostering the joy of playing. Santiago teaches children, teenagers, and adults alike, whether they are preparing for an exam, wish to join an ensemble, or simply discover the flute. His strengths include a keen attention to sound, practical orchestral experience, and the ability to explain things clearly.
