Hi there, I am an opera singer and piano teacher with 20 years of piano experience. I have also worked as a piano and singing teacher at a music school and have extensive experience from numerous opera and music projects. If you want to learn to play the piano, I'll be happy to help you. In my many years as a piano teacher, I've taught students aged 5 to 40. I place great value on solid technique, finger exercises and the development of musical expression. We work on repertoire from classical music as well as film music. For children, I have prepared many simplified notes from these areas and design the lessons with varied and playful exercises. I also encourage learning to read music, ear training and improvisation. The lessons can take place online or, preferably, in person. I also offer singing lessons in the genres of classical and pop. You will learn to breathe with your diaphragm and to use this breathing technique specifically when singing, which is very important for our work. I am a lyric soprano, originally from Rome, and I have been singing since I was a child – a passion I have never stopped pursuing. I hold a degree in Opera Singing and Choral Conducting from the Vatican Conservatory and a second degree in Renaissance and Baroque Singing from the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome. Currently, I am continuing my studies at the Schweitzer Opera Studio at HKB in Bern. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of performing as a soloist in the Vatican for papal celebrations, gaining extensive international experience. I am a trained opera singer with 12 years of teaching experience as a choir conductor and vocal coach, and I continue to perform on the operatic and concert stage. The focus of this class is to learn healthy singing techniques which include breathing, support, posture, and vocalisation, I am happy to work with lyric, classical/pop and musical theatre repertoire - the fundamental techniques of singing are the same and we will be working towards establishing a good foundation so that you can understand your own instrument better. The language of instruction will be mainly in English, but I am experienced in singing in English, German, Italian and French, so don't feel restricted by way of language as well. No worries if you are an absolute beginner - there is no age/gender limit or pre-requisite. Everyone has a voice, and I would love to help you find yours! My lessons are tailored to each student’s age, experience, and goals. Children (7–12 years old) For younger students, lessons focus on building confidence while making learning fun. We begin with simple vocal warm-ups and ear training to develop pitch and intonation, then move on to singing their favourite songs, encouraging good vocal habits in an enjoyable way. Teenagers (12-17 years old) With teenage students, we start with more structured vocal warm-ups and exercises. As we discover their natural voice, we work on developing a comfortable vocal range, improving technique, and applying these skills through songs that suit their voice and interests. Adults and seniors (18+) For adult students, lessons are usually divided into two parts. We begin with vocal technique, focusing on breathing, diaphragm support, scales, arpeggios, and intonation. We then apply these techniques through singing, helping you develop confidence, control, and healthy vocal habits. I will give you repertoire to study or we will study the pieces you have to prepare. The final goal will be to sing on a musical accompaniment. Every student learns at a different pace. Some may spend more time building a solid technical foundation before moving on to more challenging repertoire, and that’s perfectly fine. My priority is to ensure that every student feels comfortable, supported, and confident throughout their vocal journey. I teach children, teenagers, and adults and seniors from complete beginners to advanced singers. My classical training provides a strong technical foundation that can be applied to any musical style, whether you enjoy pop, musical theatre, jazz, rock, or classical singing. Hey there! My name is Dominic, and I'll be providing you with everything you need to reach your musical goals, whichever those may be. I'm currently a piano and music theory teacher at AMT, which is an institution near my hometown. I've got a full 8 year music course (mostly focused on classical piano), which I successfully completed in 2025. I've also got a year of music teaching experience on my shoulders, as well as plenty of experience helping younglings and less experienced musicians with any difficulties they may have had over the years. I've been a singer songwriter for 5 to 6 years now, and have been in several solo and choir settings, including orchestral involvement.
