Singing and making music are a lot of fun, but not the easiest thing... no matter which level you're at. For this, one needs energy, concentration and, above all, patience. But who succeeds in making progress finds that it's the best feeling ever to make music while using you best potential. That's what I can help with.

You sing all the time, but you want to improve your technique? Or you're a complete beginner and you want to get a taste of this intriguing music world? You're already singing in a band but you feel like your voice is getting tired easily, or that you need some tricks for finding notes? Then I can definitely help you, no matter your age or your style of music. My goal with this course is that you find your hobby easier and even more fun than it is already.

I'm currently finishing my master's degree in opera singing at the MUK and I use my knowledge to sing pop, jazz, funk... and so on, accompanied by my guitar/keyboard. I'm looking forward to getting to know you!

About Me

Hi there!

My name is Olivier and I’m a French-Canadian singer. After one year of German classes in Montreal I moved to Berlin to improve my language skills, and then came to Vienna for a master’s degree in opera singing.

I’ve been studying classical singing for 7 years now; in the meanwhile, music and I have become inseparable, and because of my studies I developed a vibrant passion for languages. Through the years I’ve also had various types of teaching experience, including teaching music to children in summer camps.

I’m offering my help in singing/music as well as in French. In both courses, the most important thing for me is that the student has fun and feels comfortable asking questions.

After my two first years of singing lessons, I did a bachelor's degree in Music Performance (Voice) at McGill University in Montreal. I'm currently doing a master's degree in Opera Singing at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität Wien (MUK).

LEARNING BY HEART

Learn to play/sing favorite songs:
- Depending on your ability, we simplify (or enrich) the accompaniment and improve it in a fluid manner
- I'll show you various "hacks" and shortcuts
- you don't have to do anything "right", you can follow the fun.
- play/practice without pressure, how does that work...? You can make it easier for yourself! How much time you invest stays with you. :-)
- any style possible, as long as it makes sense for you technically

Write your own songs:
- I give you different "glasses", "rails" through which you come up with new ideas, both for the music as well as the lyrics and singing
- "writers block" - from the head back to the heart using simple techniques
- learn to use the hidden treasure trove of ideas in your body (subconscious)!

Piano lessons in Vienna for beginners and advanced! I have been sharing my knowledge as a piano teacher for over 6 years.
In my piano lessons, I work with my students on a wide repertoire, ranging from classical works to pop and film music.
