It is beautiful to be able to play a musical instrument. However, when looking to learn the cello, one needs regular accompaniment. Either if you want to engage in a hobby or if you want to learn and develop your skills in a more serious way, I will adapt your lessons to your ambitions and desires towards your cello lessons. The duration of our lessons can be flexible according to the necessity or possibility of the student. Other artistic situations can be offered depending on what you show through the lessons, as the participation in cello ensembles, preparation for competitions (for students who will take the cello further in their studies), preparation for other exams that the student may want to apply to out-side our lessons, as others which may be proposed by the student him-self. There is also the opportunity to improve and practice your English, Portuguese, Spanish or Czech since these are the languages in which I can teach, according to the students preference. The most important thing is that you love music so that we can make some together!!

I am an interactive teacher with 8 years of experience in schools and 16 years as a tutor. I have a strong background in physics and astronomy/astrophysics, and I have taught these subjects at the university level. My academic background includes studies in science, education, and science communication. My teaching approach is friendly, open, and engaging while maintaining clarity and directness. I believe in using a variety of materials, interactive simulations, and conceptual learning to make the learning experience enriching and enjoyable. As an educator, my online teaching abilities have significantly improved over time, and I am well-adapted to the online learning environment, especially given the previous situation with Covid. Teaching Methodology: Effective teaching goes beyond simply presenting information or repeating the same material. To truly help students grasp concepts, it is essential to approach subjects from various angles, allowing students time to make connections. Making learning interesting in a classroom setting requires practice and skill, and I have honed these abilities over many years. I am dedicated to continually enhancing my teaching skills as I both teach and learn myself! Reason for pricing: I am an expensive tutor, there is no doubt that my hourly rate is high, but there is a reason for this. I am very good at what I do. I am supportive, caring and I listen, reflect and share ideas / solutions / resources with students to work with and on both in our sessions and outside of it too. I make students feel comfortable to talk to me, make mistakes and engage with the content to the best of their abilities.

I'm offering productive music lessons in a friendly environment. I'll guide your development from any level. I treat every student as an individual, and I adapt my approach accordingly - whether making music is your hobby or you have rather serious plans with it. Depending on what you aim for, I'll choose nice pieces/songs and interesting exercises. I always care about leaving my students with the necessary tools for practice on their own when I'm not around to guide them. You'll learn a stable intonation, and develop your rhythmical sense, musical interpretation, good posture, and apparatus that works for you individually. Together we can go not only for classical but also pop, rock or film music. What you might also enjoy during the lesson is playing together in a duo with me - so you can experience making music with another person, which is super fun! There is many fantastic advantages to learning music, such as the growth of your musical taste and artistic sensitivity, and as even science proves - enhancement of your brain capacity. But learning the cello or piano - the instruments that everyone wants to play ♡ - will truly inspire you by its unique sound. //Besides my main instrument lesson domain, I offer help with Music Theory, Ear Training, Solfege, and Music History// We can have lessons either in my apartment in Zeeheldenwkartier/Den Haag or at your location within the central area of the Hague.

English is a language which is growing in In importance and is widely accepted as a key skill to have. As well as this, learning a new language can be one of the most fun activities you can do and I would be really happy to help you with this! My name is Louis, I am a 23 years old and am a native English speaker. Before The Netherlands, I have lived in the UK for 16+ years; all of my school education has been in the English taught British school system. This has helped clients in particular, with children in a British school here. I have designed my classes with the aim of building the basic skills required in holding conversations, succeeding in an English speaking environment but also teaching students who have an advanced level but require extra help (often with the technical side, for example the rules surrounding tenses and other grammatical points). The classes are best performed on a one to one basis but I have taught small group sessions (less than 5) before. I hope for my lessons to be fun, informative and practical.

To learn how to play piano is never too late! I have 15 years of experience in teaching students from the age of 5 until 80. Amateurs and professional musicians, all levels. Diverse repertoire, from light pop to the classic. I graduated Tchaikovsky conservatory in Moscow and Royal conservatory in the Hague. I have 2 master degrees as a solo pianist, chamber soloist and piano teacher. I started to teach piano when I was 15 as a part of a school programme but my biggest experience I got here in the Netherlands. I have students with such a different background in music: amateurs, professionals, kids, adults. I am trying to find a personal approach to every student and make the process of learning more interesting and inspiring. I teach but I also learn a lot from my students. For example, I have a lot of students above 65 years old and they changed my vision and inspired me too. Now I see that it is never too late to start learning to play piano. For the first lesson you (student) don’t need to bring anything. But if you are not a beginner of course it would be nice to play something what you have learned before. The lessons are possible in Dutch, English and Russian depending on what is more convenient and comfortable for the student.

Hello there! Welcome to my profile. I am Rui and I teach piano. The piano is known as the most complete musical instrument of all. This is because when playing it we can get all kinds of characters and sounds: very deep basses or super soft high notes; delicate melodies or dense harmonies (almost like an orchestra sometimes). This is one of the reasons why I love to play the piano, its versatility adapts to my everyday mood. I would love to show you the wonders we can create with this amazing instrument! Lessons Every student is different, and by saying this I mean that I prepare every lesson specifically for each student. Some might be more shy, others might need more time to acknowledge some questions. I believe that music (much like everything else) should be taught with patience and motivation. You shouldn’t feel like you’re going against time, it should be the opposite. As a teacher, I always give priority to your motivation and excitement regarding the lesson’s activity. If I see that a student is not enjoying the lesson I have to improvise and turn it around. When teaching, the most important thing for me is that you learn while having fun. I have already some years of experience in giving piano lessons to people of all ages. I adapt the lesson content for every student individually, and I always give them the freedom to follow their musical taste and instincts. I also give a lot of focus to creativity and improvisation. At the end of the lesson, I usually save a few minutes for the student to decide what he/she wants to do: maybe a little 4-hand improvisation, or maybe play a piece they have already learned and that they enjoy playing. About me Most of my studies and experience as a teacher took place in Portugal. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance in 2020. I moved to The Netherlands in 2020 to attend the Master Program in Classical Piano Performance in the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. My academic studies were built on classical music but I also have some experience in pop and rock music. I hope this motivates you to study piano with me! Looking forward to seeing you soon during your first lesson!
