It is very important for me that the students really understand every thing, so I develop new strategies for each student that fit everyone. Most of the time I start with the Suzuki method, but I also use other methods to create a faster process. It is also important to me to understand the students, so that's why I am patient.
A little bit about me:
Mariana (violin) began her music studies in the I.E.D. School Toberín with Rocío Cardenas and has received studio classes at the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. In 2014 she entered the Sinfónica Juvenil de Colombia first as principal second and later in the first violin section.
She has played in master classes for Lara St. John, Alejandro Drago, Emannuel Tjeknavorian, Phillip Quint, Biliana Voutchkova, Benjamin Baker, Virgine Robilliard, Quartet Béla and Il Gardelino.
She was a student of Ruth Lamprea and currently pursues private studies with Anyango Yarbo-Davenport in Bogota, Colombia.
Mariana is active in several training orchestras while taking on different responsibilities, such as in the Orchestra Opus 24 (Principal Second violin), Camerata Filarmónica de Bogotá (Concertmaster) and belongs to the Trio Baum in which she plays both violin and viola.
She has performed as a soloist in with the Sinfónica Juvenil de Colombia, Camerata Filarmónica de Bogotá and Orquesta Opus 24.
She is also interested in teaching and received guided experience through the Santa María Foundation of Colombia.
She is was a student in Universidad Pedagógica Nacional and currently is taking lessons with MMag. Eugeniy Chevkenov at the Richard Wagner Conservatory.
