About Me

Born in Belgium in 1999, cellist Felix began playing the cello at the age of 8.
From 2013 till 2017, he studied at Kronberg Academy in Germany as a promising young talent with Istvan Vardai. From 2016 till 2017, he also studied with France Springuel in Belgium. From 2017 till 2019, he studied with Istvan Vardai at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Mannheim. Since October 2019, he continues his cello education in Vienna at the University of Music and Performing Arts with Istvan Vardai.
In 2018, he was semi – finalist at the Brahms – Competition in Pörtschach. In 2016, he won the first prize at the Concours de Musique Breughel in Brussels and a special prize at the Knopf – Competition in Düsseldorf. In 2014 he won first prizes at Belfius Classics and at the International Edmond Baert Cello Competition in Belgium.
He has taken part in masterclasses with Jérôme Pernoo, Antonio Meneses, Frans Helmerson, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, Ivan Monighetti, Laszlo Fenyo and Reinhard Latzko. As a chamber musician, he has given performances with leading artists such as Christel Lee in the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad, with Nikita Boriso – Glebsky, Peijun Xu, Suyoen Kim and Guy Ben-Ziony in the Festival Musik Miteiander in Kronberg and with Marianna Shirinyan in Mannheim and in Denmark.
He was selected for famous festivals as Pablo Casals Festival Prades, Festival Biel/Bienne, Hvide Sande Festival Denmark, Cello Festival Rutesheim and Yehudi Menuhin Festival Gstaad. In 2015 and 2016, he was an active participant in Kronberg Academy’s Cello Masterclasses.
He performed with orchestras such as Orchestre Philharmonique de Budweis, Bruges Chamber Orchestra, FrascatiSymphonic and Flanders Symphony Orchestra. He performed in Belgium, France, Hungary, Germany, Switserland, Denmark, Spain and Russia.
Felix started composing at the age of 6 and at 12, he received the medal Belgian Artistic Promotion for his winning composition at the Cantabile Competition for professional composers. In 2014, he was laureate from Belfius Classics in Brussels. His inspiring music has been recorded by Hermes ensemble and by Radio Klara and has been performed at festivals and concerts in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France and Switzerland. In his composition Odysseus 10 for cello solo, created at the Yehudi Menuhin Festival in Gstaad 2016, he creates sounds on the cello that never have been used before.
As a cellist – composer, he was laureate 2017 from SPES, Belgian Foundation to support Creation.

Klára has started playing the piano at the age of four at music school in Mariánské Lázně under the guidance of her mother Marie. Since 2024 she has studied at University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
Since childhood she has regularly participated in national and international competitions. In November 2023 she was awarded the 2nd prize at Soutěž Nadace Bohuslava Martinů, further she won f. e. the 1st prize at the “Broumov key”, the 2nd prize at the Ile-de-France international competition in Paris and the 2nd prize at the Fryderyk Chopin international competition in Mariánské Lázně. In December 2022, she received the title of laureate at the Prague Conservatory's international competition “Young Piano”, where she was also awarded the main prize "Young Piano Talent". In 2021, she won 2nd prize and a special prize for her interpretation of Stravinsky/Agosti's Firebird (1st prize not awarded) in the international competition Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte, 3rd prize in the international competition Bach's Way in Dobřany and 3rd prize in the Brno ́s piano competition.
In the year 2020, she was awarded the "Pilsen ́s Orfeus'' award for representing the Pilsen region in the field of classical music, namely for the 3rd prize in the “Broumov key” competition. She has performed with several orchestras in the Czech republic. In the season 2024/2025 she performed with Janáčkova Filharmonie in Ostrava as a soloist of the first Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto.
In June 2023 and 2025 she was invited to the Academy in Villecroze for masterclass. In 2021, she got the opportunity to attend the Ševčík Academy in the class of Lukáš Vondráček and Yuri Shadrin. Now she collaborates with Ševčík academy as an accompanist.
