You can contact me to learn classical singing technique. I have a bachelor's and master's degree in classical singing and 20 years of stage experience. In recent years, I have also received further training in singing techniques for pop songs and musical theatre songs. I followed the CVT basic course and the Tools for Teachers training at Cordula Klein Goldewijk. It was very enjoyable to me and valuable additional knowledge to learn more about these techniques, and about the differences and similarities with classical singing technique. So I can teach in both styles, but I have far more performing experience in classical singing and opera.

About Me

As a child I already loved music, and singing in particular. When I was 14 I joined the school choir, and I was allowed to sing a solo now and then, I loved that! When I was 15, I started taking singing lessons with Marjanne Kweksilber. I learned the classical technique from her, but I also sometimes sang jazz or pop songs at school performances. After one of these performances I decided that I wanted to really go for singing and I wanted to become a professional singer. And so I did! I went to study voice at the conservatory. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in classical singing at the Rotterdam Conservatory (Codarts) in 2005 and my master’s degree in Vocal Performance at the Royal Academy of Music in London (UK) in 2010. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I immediately started working at a music school, and I never stopped teaching after that. I was building a career as a performer, but next to this I have always found it fantastic to keep helping others discover and experience their voice and all its possibilities. Shortly after my return to the Netherlands, I got a very nice opportunity: in 2011/2012 I was associated with the TV program De tiende van Tijl as a singing coach. Because of my classical background, I was asked to coach well known Dutch artists for this program in performing a classical song or opera aria on the show. I coached Karin Bloemen, Ellen ten Damme, Jamai, Sara Kroos, Paul de Leeuw and Lieke van Lexmond, among others. This has led to a wonderful and valuable exchange between Karin Bloemen and me.

So I had a classical education, but later I also delved into other styles, such as pop, jazz and musical. Because there is a great demand for singing lessons in styles other than classical, I have followed additional training courses with Cordula Klein Goldewijk in the field of Complete Vocal Technique (CVT). In 2017 I followed the Basic CVT Singing course and the Tools for Teachers – Pedagogy & Singing Technique course with her.

When teaching, I adapt to the individual needs of each student. Everyone is different and therefore requires their own approach. First and foremost, I want my students to enjoy singing! We achieve this together by developing a healthy technique, a solid stage presence and thereby building self-confidence. Often you are capable of a lot more than you think! I have had a classical education, so that is my specialty, but I can also help you to learn to sing in other styles, such as pop and musical. Level or age doesn’t matter to me. I teach total beginners, but also guide singers who are preparing for auditions or entrance exams for conservatoire or music college.

Singing to me is the best feeling ever. Your entire body is moving and your head is totally empty of worries. You lose who you are and transform into a new person.
One time you are a prince or princess, the other a warrior fighting a duel. Maybe you stare at a beautiful river or fall in love like never before. All of this and even crazier situations are material for songs. Singing is so much more than just notes, it is about using your fantasy and telling a story. I love this feeling so much that I want to share how you can experience all of this while singing.

In general, singing is a combination of technique (pitches and rhythm), posture, and breathing. Next to that, we have diction, acting, body language, expression, and joy! You sing because you like it!

Singing is for all ages, all levels, and I adapt my lessons to your level.

Don't worry if you can't read sheet music, it is a bonus if you can.

Who I am?
Hi! My name is Jobbe. Once upon a time, I was an aspiring academic, but longing for a more creative way to share my voice I started singing and quite I recently graduated form the Master of Music program direction Music Theatre. I know how arduous the artistic journey can be yet, we take it none the less, because we are all striving for this little moment of magic that arises when everything falls into place. For me, I saw this happening many times during a performance but also in coaching others and it gives me chills every time. And I would be honoured to help you pass on this little spark of magic to others!

As I am only just starting with these individual lessons for a limited time they are available.

From the technique and theory of singing to performative qualities and coaching, I can help! Together we can work to get your singing to the next level!

Singing lessons for all levels and age. For beginners, together we can discover the range of your voice and build the breathing and singing technique. At the same time we will work on music theory, ear training and how to read a score. For mature singers, we can delve into the singing technique and interpretation and add pieces in your repertoire. The lessons are provided both online and in person and can be held in English or Greek. I also speak some Italian and German.

About me
I have been playing the piano for 15 years. I have studied Classical Singing in the Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata (Greece) and I have followed a two-year Early Music Programme in Athens Conservatoire. At the same time I studied Music Theory (Harmony) at the Greek National Conservatoire from which I gained my Harmony degree.
In addition, I have a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Here in The Netherlands, I finished my masters at the Utrechts Conservatorium and worked as a singer at the NKK NXT 2022-2023.

I have participated in Operas (“Julius Cesar”- 2015 in Athens Concert Hall and “Alcina”-2019 in Odeon of Herodes Atticus) as a member of a vocal ensemble and I have also performed as a soloist in many concerts. Some of the stages I have performed are: Concertgebouw Amsterdam, TivoliVredenburg, Schouwburg Concertzaal Tilburg, Athens Concert Hall, Greek National Opera and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.

I believe everyone can sing, and it is one of the most extraordinary and fun things to do!

Hello everyone!
My name is Marion and I come from France. I have been a musician for as long as I can remember. I started when I was a kid as a trumpet player. I played in many different kinds of orchestras and had a lot of fun with this instrument, but it was nothing compare to my love for singing! This is why I decided to become a professional opera singer and I want to share my passion about singing!

What do I offer?
Classical singing lessons for all levels with a focus on opera, songs, oratorio and choir repertoire.
I am based in Utrecht. You are welcome to come to my place, but I can also come to the students.
Lessons can be taught in English or in French, but I also speak a little bit of Dutch.

What will you learn?
The fundamental elements of classical singing such as breathing, posture and resonances for example but also styles, pronunciation, interpretation and repertoire. An important aspect I want to approach in a singing lesson is how to help you find your own voice, both in a technical and in an interpretative sense.
I can also guide you with anything solfège related like how to use and read a score or how to learn a song by heart.

What is my philosophy about singing and pedagogy?
I believe the best way to develop and improve a skill is when the students feel that they are in a safe place where they can dare to experiment but also have fun. This is an essential part of the process of music making and I try to bring fun and enjoyment to every lesson!

About me:
I started my musical studies in my home country in France, at the Conservatoire de Caen and the Conservatoire de Rennes before coming to The Netherlands where I finished my
voice bachelor’s degree at Het Conservatorium van Amsterdam in June 2018.
Two years later I graduated from the Dutch National Opera Academy where
I performed the role of Tigrane in Händel’s Radamisto, The Countess of
Dunmow in Berkeley’s A Dinner Engagement, Arsace in Graun’s Cesare and Cleopatra and Fiordiligi in Mozart's Così fan tutte.
Nowadays, I am a freelance soprano working in the Netherlands and in Belgium as a soloist and as a choir singer. I often participate in productions with the choir of the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen in Antwerp or the Groot Omroepkoor in Hilversum.
I was one of the laureates of the edition 2020/2021 of the Dutch Classical
Talent Tour & Award, and I recently won the Handel Choir Jubilee Award.

Hi! I’m Emily, a classically trained singer from Hong Kong, currently in my fourth year of the Bachelor’s programme in Voice at the Utrecht Conservatorium. With 8 years of vocal training and a strong love for performing, I’m passionate about helping others experience the joy of music.

I’ve been teaching for over 4 years, working with students from age 4 to adults, both individually and in small group settings. I also teach music classes for children at an international school, and I specialize in creating engaging, age-appropriate lessons that build both skill and confidence.

In addition to classical singing, I also teach Musical Theatre — combining healthy vocal technique with expressive performance — and piano at beginner to intermediate levels. I teach singer-songwriter lessons in Utrecht. Ages 10 and up.
You don't have to be able to do anything yet.
You don't have to be able to play an instrument yourself.
During the lessons we work on writing lyrics, vocal technique and performance.
You can get acquainted with different instruments.

There are different types of lessons possible:

1. You want to develop your writing talent in a small group - 1 hour per week with a presentation of your work every six months. (Maximum 4 people per group - Minimum 2 people)
2. You want to write a song for a special occasion in a short time - 4-hour workshop
3. You want to fine-tune the songs you've already written with your band and/or work on performance
