About Me

A cheerful, enthusiastic (sometimes serious) but above all a pleasant teacher. I like to combine theater and music. Both on stage and in giving my lessons. (This is of course no obligation in the lessons). I like to write lyrics and music and I prefer to play these in the theater. From my graduation I have always been active as a performing musician / actor or theater maker. At five years old, I picked up an accordion that was almost bigger than me. I didn’t know it then, but that single moment would shape the rest of my life.

Since that day, I’ve dedicated over two decades to mastering this beautiful, misunderstood instrument. My teaching method developed during 20 years of experience and thanks to my studies of Music Pedagogy and Piano Teaching during my Master's in Piano at Livorno's Conservatory.
I am currently a piano teacher in a British School and I prepared several students for ABRSM and Trinity College exams.
As a private piano teacher, I work preferably in my studio, on a beautiful grand piano Yamaha, but, if not too far, I am also available for lessons at the student's house.

My teaching is adapted to the skills and goals of each student. With beginning children, I aim at full musical development of the student (not just playing notes, but feeling the rhythm, singing, and expressing emotions through free improvisation); technically I don't work only at the finger position, but at the organic interaction arm-wrist-fingers, through simple exercises.
With adult or advanced students, I observe them, to suggest which type of repertory to work together, and which aspects of the technique might still need improvement.
I teach classically, through the learning of notes, harmony, and written music, but I teach also how to play songs with only chord symbols, and blues improvisation at a basic level.

Both with children and adults I aim at creating a joyful experience during the lesson, in which focus is gained in a playful way, finding each time the best practicing solutions to technical and musical difficulties. In this way, practicing at home becomes not another heavy duty to add to an already busy schedule, but repeating a creative, searching experience, that is never the same.

Books: the use of a method is often suggested in the first years. Later I advice classical pieces to be studied. Also, Pop or Rock songs that the student would like to perform are well accepted, if I think the student can play them.

Hello there!

My name is Antek and i'm a cellist, pianist and composer who graduated from Conservatorium van Amsterdam. As a cellist I've had the pleasure and honour of collaborating with renowned artists such as Hans Zimmer, being part of his 2022 European Tour Orchestra, touring over 15 countries and playing in locations such as London's O2 Arena or Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. I am now mainly active as a performer of contemporary/experimental music, as well as classical music, freelancing in various orchestras in the Netherlands, having played in venues such as Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, Concertgebouw or TivoliVredenburg. I offer cello lessons, regardless of the level - whether you are a curious beginner or more advanced player, i'm happy to collaborate and share my knowledge and experience with you, as well as inspire your creativity regarding both playing the right notes, and making artistic choices.

As a composer, I'm currently pursuing a degree at Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. I can help you work on your ideas, and how to write them down, to sound exactly how you want them to sound. That includes tutorials on engraving rules, orchestration, working in DAWs (Ableton) and using sheet music software (Sibelius, MuseScore), as well as building your craft and workflow. I'm experienced in writing both instrumental and electronic music, as well as performance art, live electronics and multidisciplinary projects. I have also collaborated with institutions like National Polish Radio or CelloWercken Festival Zutphen.
