My name is Victoria. I give violin lessons in Rotterdam. Picking up a new instrument can sometimes be very difficult, so I will help you in this learning process. I can help beginners and advanced violinists to improve. My experience is that playing with a more experienced musician is more fun and benefits the development.
As said, the level doesn't matter. I teach children (from 4 years old) and adults. Lessons can be given in Dutch, English or Russian. My program is very flexible and offers space for personal input. Whether you want a specific repertoire or you want to prepare for an audition, I can help you.

About Me

Victoria is a violinist and violin teacher. She is familiar with the Russian and European violin school. Since her early childhood she has played in various concert halls in Moscow, now this also applies to most of the large concert halls in the Netherlands. Most notable concert halls in Moscow are: Rachmaninov Hall and the Main Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Central House of the Composers and The Central Hall of the Artist. Notable locations in the Netherlands are De Doelen in Rotterdam, the Concertgebouw and the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam.

Victoria graduated cum laude from the Academic College of Moscow which is part of the Moscow Conservatory. In the Netherlands, Victoria studied under Misha Furman at the Rotterdam Conservatory (Codarts). Here she completed both the bachelor and the master program. She has also taken master classes from well-known violinists such as: Zvi Zeitlin (Eastman School of Music), Elena Natanson (Moscow Conservatory), Mikhail Kopelman (Eastman School of Music), Alla Vandysheva, Vladislav Igolinsky (Moscow Conservatory), Benzion Shamir (Rotterdam Conservatory) ).

Victoria is currently a member of the Zeeuwse Orchestra and founder of the Violin Studio Rotterdam.

Composition lessons are for anyone who wishes to compose music, for any instrument, emsemble and/or electronics music.

My teaching method combines various approaches and styles, supporting practice with theoretical knowledge, and most important developing creativity and helping the student in making their imagionary visions come real.

For each student a different palate of tools is offered, according to the student's musical wishes and ambitions.

I teach the basis of western-music composition - theory, harmony, counterpoint, score-reading, solfege, rhythm, analysis and more.
Further I suggest broad overview of world, jazz, pop, new/contemporary music, various styles in electronic music (popular and experimental), improvisatory compositions, graphic notation, text and game pieces, music for theater, film and dance and interdicsiplinary works which combine music with other art fields.

In the percussion field there are more instruments than you can count, it's a perfect opportunity to try out different things in the musical field and see what you like as a beginner, intermediate or advanced student. I am teaching music theory to all my students in order to deepen their musical knowledge on any instrument.
I've been playing, studying, teaching and performing for over 15 years now, so I can use my experience to find good qualities in the you and develop them as much as possible. If you want to study with me I can provide a stable program for development including scores, exercises etc.
In this class, we will be focusing on instruments sutch as Marimba, Vibraphone, Drum set, Latin percussion, African percussion, Djembe, Orchestral Percussion, Timpani and more.
You can come to a lesson and see what you like from all the things mentioned. Do you have instruments at home? I can come to your home and spare you the travels.

I am an active musician since 2014, I have played in several formations from solo performances to bigbands and orchestras.
I mostly play in the genres of jazz (free, fusion), metal, repetitive minimal music and contemporary classical music.
Besides playing I am quite passionate about teaching, during my bachelor studies I have started to teach in music schools and also in private, and teaching since then.

My name is Daniela, and I am a cross-over violist from Costa Rica. I moved to the Netherlands in 2020 to pursue my studies at Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Classical Music (Viola). I am currently continuing my journey at Codarts with a Master's degree in Latin Music.

During my time in the Netherlands, I have been part of a wide range of musical projects across different genres — from classical orchestras and chamber music to pop, jazz, and world music collaborations. I've performed with ensembles such as the Jong Metropole and recorded with various pop, jazz, and fusion bands. I am also the bandleader of my own Latin project, La Reunión, and work as a freelance musician with diverse musical groups.

Before moving to the Netherlands, I studied Music Education at the University of Costa Rica and worked for several years as a private teacher. I have experience teaching violin and viola to both children and adults.

As a teacher, I am kind and patient. I believe in the value of consistent, focused work and in helping students grow step by step. I aim to make the learning process feel easy and fun!

To improve music composition and piano skills, rather than lessons that are overly theoretical, broad, and generic, what is needed are practical and applicable lessons that focus on the essential key points and tips that actually improve ability, and that teach how to do it in practice.
