Playing an instrument is one of the most fulfilling and enriching things you can do in your live. I am a cello student in Rotterdam. I have been studying music my whole life and professional cello for more than 10 years. I have the greatest passion in teaching. I have played in professional orchestras, competed in professional competitions and studied in different conservatories on my different levels of education. I have been teaching music theory and cello. Now I am far from home, fresh out of my bachelors to reach even further with my music, hoping to have the satisfaction of teaching more people and sharing my knowledge with you. I have been taught by many different teachers from various styles and cultures. I have been learning from masters and now I want to show you what they have given me.

I will show you the best technique for your physique and help you improve your skills on the instrument. I hope to make nice music with you and show you how much you can express through sound. I will also teach you how to read music scores and understand music theory. Everybody is different, especially in music education. We will discover the best ways to practice and learn. I will help you to find your own ways of improving. You will be able to play the cello and also to make music together with other people.

If you already have a more advanced level, that is also great! We can work on perfecting your technique and finding inspiration. We can work on understanding the composers and what you want to express.
I can also prepare you for conservatories. We can look at options and meet with teachers. We can decide on an impressive program for your auditions and I will help you to gain the skills to impress the professionals. We can even set goals, deadlines or concert dates according to your ambitions.

Whether you want to become a professional soloist or a great entertainer for your friends and an understander of music, we can have a plan together to bring you there. I will help you enjoy music and the cello playing trough the whole journey.
Extra information
For the lessons you will need a cello. If you don't have one, I can help you to find one to rent or I can guide you through buying a new one. Buying an instrument might seem intimidating but no worries, there is one for every level and every budget.

Do you want to work on classical repertoire? Do you want to learn songs from around the world or invent your own? do you want to play happy birthday to your best friend with a Cello?

Let's explore together this beautiful instrument with pieces that you like, finding different ways to play one thing, becoming actors on the stage of music... Let's create games to develop creativity and technique, those that will help you to personalise your way of playing.

With music, we learn much more than just playing pieces. I always thought about how the ancient Greeks introduced Music as an essential subject in school. Music was to heal, to entertain, to get to know yourself more.
I'm just finished my studies in the University of Arts of Codarts (Rotterdam) and I can't deny I will always keep learning after finishing my degree. I'm looking forward to sharing some knowledge and to hear what you already know.

What can i offer?
Styles that we can work on: Classical, Folk, Jazz, Pop music.
Languages that we can speak in the lesson: Dutch, English, Catalan or/and Spanish
Skills that we can work on: basic techniques, jazz and folk techniques, play the cello while singing, percussion on the cello.

How do I work?
Each class will be individually prepared, in order to have the student goals in mind. In our first lesson we can get to know each other and then we will figure out what do you want and how can I help you.
For BEGINNERS I teach the bow, finger positions and other basics with easy songs (with kids I add games to make it more entreating). Such as relating painting with playing, dancing with playing or literature with playing.
For AVERAGE LEVEL we explore, with already some technique, how to play songs, finding a good sound and feel at ease with the instrument.

Extra activities:
Once a month I plan a rehearsal with pianist to work on some repertoire of cello and piano. Meetings with other students are also arranged to play duos together. It's very necessary to play with people and not get stuck in our own individual studies!

Do you have doubts or need more information? Don't hesitate to write me a message!

Hello everyone, my name is Bardia an experienced and enthusiastic violin teacher in Rotterdam.
The key words for my teaching are fun and personal development.
What matters the most to me is to have students feeling at ease with my teaching and feeling motivated after a lesson. This is why we will be playing lots of pieces together in duos, trying to develop complicity at your own pace, no rush ever.
Last but not least, I also want to train and instruct students to reach a high mental level so as to express themselves free from constraints and stresses.

Through a personalized method, tailored to your needs and wishes, we will cover together all sorts of repertoire, ranging from Baroque and Classical Music to more modern styles like Pop.
Lessons can be given in English, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, French and Farsi.

I teach at all levels from beginners to advanced with particular focus on amateur players.

I graduated from Rotterdam Conservatory in 2017 and I finished my Master in Early Music in Utrecht Conservatory in April 2024.

Lessons in 6 languages! With more than 200 students through all my life, more than 500 shows (mostly in Spain but also around Europe and a couple of minitours in America), 15 CDs/EP/singles published (as a frontman, sideman and producer), a bachelor in jazz-modern music guitar (Taller de Músics - Barcelona), half bachelor in piano jazz (Conservatori del Liceu - Barcelona) and a long professional music career behind me playing a ton of different styles (pop, rock, funk, metal, jazz, folk, rumba, reggae...), I've come from Barcelona to Rotterdam to continue my musical journey by doing the latin master at Codarts.

I've been working as a music teacher for around 12 years (I'm 29 years old), both doing private lessons and in different music schools, being the most important one the “Escola de Música Creu Alta” in Sabadell (Barcelona), which is one of the biggest music schools in Spain (with more than 900 students), in which I was the Head of the Modern Music Department.

I teach guitar (electric and classical), piano (electric and classical), composition, musical production (with Logic Pro), ensemble and modern music theory AT ALL LEVELS, from 100% beginners to people who want to prepare themselves for the music bachelor. I can adapt totally to what the student wants and is looking for, but also, since I have a lot of experience, I have the lessons well planned, I know which songs and exercises work better depending on the aspect that we want to work (tempo, chords, scales, sound, improvisation...) and when I see someone playing I can see in which aspects is the person strong, and in which aspects has the person more problems, so that way you won't waste your time! Also I'm a fun and very empathetic person so we will have fun, which is the most important thing!!

I speak 6 languages: Catalan, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch and English, so we can do the classes in one of these languages.

The lessons can take place in my home (Maashaven metro station) where I have a nice setup, online or in your home.

I am a Master’s student in Classical Composition at Codarts(Rotterdam Conservatory).

To improve music composition and piano skills, rather than lessons that are overly theoretical, broad, and generic, what is needed are practical and applicable lessons that focus on the essential key points and tips that actually improve ability, and that teach how to do it in practice.
Tutor should respect the student’s autonomy and opinions, tailor the class to the student’s individuality and preferences, and show patience with the student’s pace of development. Based on these principles, I will teach diligently.

Lessons in 6 languages! With over 200 students in my entire life, over 500 shows (mainly in Spain but also all over Europe and a few mini-tours in America), 15 CDs/EPs/singles published (as frontman, sideman and producer), a bachelor's degree in jazz-modern guitar (Taller de Músics - Barcelona), a half-bachelor's degree in piano jazz (Conservatori del Liceu - Barcelona) and a long professional music career in which I play different styles (pop, rock, funk, metal, jazz, folk, rumba, reggae...), I came from Barcelona to Rotterdam to continue my musical journey by doing the Latin master at Codarts.

I've been working as a music teacher for about 12 years (I'm 29), both privately and at various music schools, the most important of which is the "Escola de Música Creu Alta" in Sabadell (Barcelona). It's one of the largest music schools in Spain (with over 900 students), where I was head of the Modern Music department.

I teach guitar (electric and classical), piano (electric and classical), composition, music production (with Logic Pro), ensemble, and modern music theory AT ALL LEVELS, from complete beginners to those aspiring to a Bachelor's degree in music. I can fully adapt to the student's needs and desires, but because I have a lot of experience, I also plan the lessons well and know which songs and exercises work best depending on the aspect we want to work on (tempo, chords, scales, feel, improvisation, etc.). When I watch someone play, I can see which areas they're strong in and which they're struggling with, so you don't waste time! I'm also a fun and very empathetic person, so we'll have fun, and that's the most important thing!

I speak 6 languages: Catalan, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch and English, so we can do the lessons in any of these languages.

The lessons can take place at my home (Maashaven metro station) where I have a nice setup, online or at your home.

My name is Abbey and I teach violin and viola to students of all ages! I graduated with a degree in music education in 2022, but have been teaching, tutoring, and giving private lessons since 2019. I recently moved from the US to the Netherlands to grow my private studio and create musical resources for others.

I have taught students of all ages and skill levels to boost their musical confidence and learn more about the violin or viola. Although I haven't been teaching for very long, I have taught nearly 1,000 students, and I hope this number will grow.

I am flexible regarding how lessons take place, how long they are, and which music style you would like to learn.
approximately 1,000 students of all ages and skill levels the joy that music can bring.

My lessons are currently only in English and basic Dutch (A1-A2).
