Learn Western Vocals and choose from different styles including Classical, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Film Music.
Depending on the genre you pick, we will work on vocal techniques, diction, dynamics, phrasing, posture and breathing exercises which aid the genre. We will also talk about stage presence and stage fear and how to overcome stage fear. Expressions are an important part of your songs and hence we will also learn exercises to improve your musical expression as well as learn how to act while singing (optional).
We will also learn on how to read and write western music notation with music theory. Subjects like history, theory, piano, musicianship, composition etc are completely optional and can also be a part of the course if you wish to learn them.

About Me
Vedang is a singer, performer and educator based in Chennai. He is an Alumni of KM Music Conservatory graduated with a merit. He has knowledge of varied singing styles including Western, Hindustani, Musical Theatre, Pop and Film Music. He studied Hindustani voice for over 4 years and Tabla for over 3 years from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Vidyalaya, Mumbai. Being in KM, he majored in Western Voice under the guidance of Dr. Keisha Cook, Natalya Benjamin and Phillipa Thomas. He was a part of the Musical Theatre Ensemble for 3 years and played many roles including the lead role of “Lucentio” in the musical “Kiss Me Kate” and “American Sailor” in an act from the musical “On the Town” directed by Eric Föster.
