We will work on the basics and everything you will need to know as a musician, but we will also incorporate music that you absolutely love and desire to learn. I gear my lessons towards a student's individual needs and goals to ensure you are well-rounded and are having fun!

You will need a laptop or tablet/phone with a camera and microphone. If you are taking voice lessons, 2 devices are recommended (1 for zoom, 1 for music). You will also need access to your desired instrument.

About Me

Hi! I’m Kyla and I have been studying the performing arts since I was four years old. I am a singer, pianist, violinist, and actress, and I currently offer private virtual violin, viola, piano, and voice lessons. I have a BA in Music and BA in Musical Theatre from Columbia College Chicago. I have had so many wonderful opportunities to share the knowledge that I have gained throughout all my time of being a performing artist. I am a signed artist with Boosted Entertainment, and I am a Producer for the group Musicality, semi-finalists on AGT season 11. Not only do I assist in creating and directing music videos and original music for the group, but I also get to perform at incredible events and venues with them: UNICEF Won't Stop (with Jordin Sparks), Lollapalooza, KultureBall 2019 with Marc Martel, the Rosemont Theatre, TEDx with Ari Afsar and Miguel Cervantes (Chi-Hamilton Stars), and McDonald’s WWC (opening for Imagine Dragons, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, and Bruno Mars). I have been in numerous music videos with the group and have led recording sessions. A few videos I have worked on ("This Is Me" and "From Now On") have even gained several million views! I have had the honor to star in the film "First String" as Rebecca Carlisle, and I am reprising my role in the sequel. I have had so many wondrous opportunities to share my craft with others, and I am enthusiastic about sharing even more through teaching and performing.

I have a BA in Music & BA in Musical Theatre from Columbia College Chicago.

I have been learning music since I was 4 years old and I began performing shortly after. I have been in several orchestras (CYSO, SYSO, and the Protege Philharmonic) and vocal ensembles (Musicality, Honors Choir, and Solo & Ensemble Competitions) throughout my musical education. I realized how much I truly loved learning music and I wanted to pass that on to others, so in 2017 I began teaching music.

My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education.
My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals.
As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs.

I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. I offer piano lessons for adults and children, tailored to your goals and preferences. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. Lessons are conducted in English, German and Russian. I teach piano at home in Vienna’s 3rd district and online on a beautiful Yamaha piano.
