I am a professional violinist/violist that has worked with orchestras in the USA and Finland, played with professional ensembles, and won several competitions internationally. In my lessons, we'll focus on what you want to do with music - the world of music is your oyster. We'll explore, discuss, and overcome the spectrums of practice/performing/and music while simultaneously enjoying it!

About Me
Antti started the violin at age 6, and viola then at age 13. During his high school years, Antti has won numerous grants, state competitions, and scholarships such as the Don C. Walter Scholarship and Lylburn Layer Scholarship. He served as Microsoft Orchestra concertmaster, performed with the Calliope and Contrasts Quartet, has made appearances at Benaroya Hall, 5th avenue Theatre, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Bellevue Ballet. He studied in Germany, and has worked with maestro Stefan Ottersbach of the Frankfurt Symphony, Ingrid Zur of the Frankfurter Musikhochschule, and Tiberiu Idvorean, principal of the Gießener Stadttheater. During his exchange, He performed in various countries around Europe from Finland to Italy, and has studied under Miguel da Silva, professor from le Conservatoire de Paris, and founder of the Ysaÿe Quartet. In 2017, Mr. Niemistö won the WWU Symphony concerto competition with the Bartók Concerto. He previously studied at Western Washington University with professors Eric Kean and Walter Schwede, and now studies at Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland under the studio of Helge Valtonen and Pirkko Simojoki.
