Hi, how are you? If you've made it this far, I imagine you're interested in taking lessons with me, so let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Rocío, I'm 26 years old, and I'm originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have a degree in Film Music from the Catholic University of Argentina (UCA) and I'm currently pursuing a Master's degree in Film Score Composition at the Catalan School of Music (ESMUC).
I have been giving private lessons for five years, both in groups and individually, to students of all ages. Lessons are personalized based on each student's needs. When you contact me, I assess your level and any questions you may have. Based on this assessment, a study plan is created to ensure you get the most out of your lessons. Whether online or in person, each lesson lasts 60 minutes. We typically introduce the topic, delve deeper, answer questions, and then put it into practice. Depending on the subject, we supplement the lessons with readings, multimedia materials, or exercises, because we learn best through hands-on experience!
The subjects taught are the following: Harmony, Composition, Musical Language, Musical Production, Sound Design, Singing and Piano.

A young clarinetist and teacher, he graduated in Higher Education with a specialization in clarinet performance from the Conservatori Superior del Liceu, with Isaac Rodríguez as his teacher, and completed the first year of the Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education. Piano lessons in Jazz, Classical, or Modern styles; depending on the student's interest, we can mix a bit of everything or delve deep into one style.

Main focus applied to overcome the problem of piano: mastering two-handed rhythm. To achieve this, I teach left-hand grooves and foundations while working on improvisation, harmony, melodies, accompaniments, and everything there is to play with the right hand. I introduce piano techniques such as walking bass, tenths, stride, drop 2, and more.

From my experience, rhythm, "Groove", and the connection with the music in the moment it is being played are the most challenging aspects to learn and integrate. Thus, I give significant emphasis to these topics in my sessions, especially those aimed at playing polyrhythmic instruments such as the piano.

I cover compositional tools, approaching Jazz Standards, accompaniment techniques, improvisation methods for any instrument, Blues tools, methods to strengthen the relationship with the instrument, analysis, and listening skills.
