I am an experienced private music teacher based in London. I tailor every lesson to the specific needs of each of my students. I have over ten years of experience as a violin and viola player and I have worked in both orchestras (classical) and folk music ensembles.

I graduated in Popular Music Performance in London at UWL and I have been performing as a singer and guitar player ever since. Together with teaching I also perform with different formations in London and on international contracts.

I am a freelance teacher and a professional musician based in London.
I have spent my teenage years and early twenties working as a violin and viola player in orchestras and chamber ensembles. I have then graduated in Popular Music Performance at the University of West London.

I love transmitting my passion for music to my students, I truly believe music is a strong connection between our cultures and our history.

I usually work on a goal-oriented basis: I want to understand what each people wants out of the music lesson or even what he/she needs in order to reach his/her goals. Thanks to my knowledge of music technology I can record bespoke audio accompainments for the pupil to work with, to extend the lesson experience even when I am not physically with the student.

My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:

-Study of various playing techniques, chords, harmony, music of your choice, rhythm, with reading of tablature, teaching structured around the repertoire you like, technique of developing the musical ear
- Discovery of the neck, notes and basic positions of open chords

At my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. I will give all my best so everybody will get the tools for developing their own voice, helping them to master the instrument and teaching them all the theoretical knowledge they’ll need to make their particular personality shine. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you.
