About Me
Brief CV

Dirk, born and raised in Lübeck, received early vocal training in the Lübeck Boys' Choir, as well as instruction in piano, trombone, and classical guitar. Since 2000, he has been a lecturer at the Jazzhaus School in Cologne, where he teaches guitar, bass, and electronic music/music production. In cooperation with LAG NRW, he regularly conducts workshops, including at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. For over 30 years, he has been part of the Cologne/Hamburg music scene with bands such as Motorsheep, King Candy, and Bandaloop. As a guitarist, he has played and worked in live TV shows for international artists like Bonnie Raitt, Joshua Kadison, and Lisa Stansfield, was a member of the German krautrock legend Hoelderlin, and is a sought-after multi-instrumentalist and composer for film and theater productions.
With his long-running electronic music project "Filmpalast," he released five albums in a wide variety of genres and performed at festivals including Roskilde. Extensive tours as a singer-songwriter followed, along with freelance work as a photographer. In recent years, he has primarily focused on his solo electric guitar concert, "Concert for an Electric Guitar," which premiered in the fall of 2019.

Between 2019 and 2022, he received several scholarships from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the German Music Fund, as well as GVL and GEMA. In cooperation with colleagues Susanne Kubelka and Yoshie Shibahara, the music theatre project "Eden" was realized and premiered in 2021 as part of the Viktringen Music Forum.
Now based in Carinthia, he performs with singer/actress S. Kubelka as "Humming Lights" or with "Bachmann Reloaded," exploring more experimental forms of genre-crossing music, sound performance, and light installations. With his latest formation, DUO, he combines jazz accordion with the modern soundscape of an electric guitarist, touring live in Austria and Germany.

The course that I propose is BILINGUAL FRENCH / ENGLISH, as well as 2 BOOKS.

Age and musical taste are not restrictive when in the program, you can with qualitative daily work (not quantitative) quickly observe your progress.

Here the pleasure of playing music is put forward.

The kind of music you love most will be the focus of the course, their codes and secrets will be the focus of our study, that's what I want to share with you.

We can do technical lessons and simply learn together how to play one or more songs of your choice or mine, enrich your game with this approach and your repertoire!

(For example, We can re-arrange the pieces and make them more original by approaching the system (CAGED), and enriching their chords, resulting in new positions, new techniques and new sounds, using arpeggio techniques rather than strumming for 4-chord pieces, voicing and fingerstyle techniques, in short, expanding the instrument's playing fields and playing skills to keep progressing in your game and improve your rehearsals ...)

If you make a request, this program is obviously accompanied by the pleasure of learning more in theory and being able to directly apply new knowledge on its instrument and identify its common or rare use in the pieces discussed in class.

In this case, the theory is translated to be accessible to anyone, both for those who are connoisseurs and for those who discover everything from absolute zero.
The exercises, songs, and theoretical explanations offered throughout the program are organized in an order of progressive difficulty.

I wrote and produced 2 books of my method to learn the guitar and the music, that I sell to accompany my course and your apprenticeship in the best conditions and so that you can continue the course even at home and to review etc ... .
There is ONE BOOK OF COURSES containing all the theoretical and practical program of the year, as well as a BOOK OF EXERCISE on the ranges and the modes that you can obtain directly.

You can find here an indicative list of objectives that I propose in my theoretical program, which can of course adapt to your request.

Hi, my name is Jeremy and I've played music for 19 years, having performed over 200 concerts and composed with a wide variety of groups and ensembles across England and Belgium in many genres (Funk, R&B, Soul, Jazz, Rock, Alternative, Punk and more). I have completed 3 years of intensive bass study at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and am currently playing bass plus backing-vocals and song arrangement for Kids of the Elephant and Arrubio.

In these lessons, I will help you reach your goals while having fun in the process, keeping the lessons structured and tailored to your personal needs. I have 5 years of experience helping students improve as well as specialist knowledge in a multitude of styles. Some examples of what you might learn include:

- Correct hand positioning & posture for best performance and faster learning.

At my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. I will give all my best so everybody will get the tools for developing their own voice, helping them to master the instrument and teaching them all the theoretical knowledge they’ll need to make their particular personality shine. Openness, joy, dedication, creativity and passion for music are some of the things that you will find in the international environment of my studio. I care about who my students are and what they have to say to the world, and I will help them to develop it from the very first lesson.

In my class you will not only be able to receive piano lessons but also will learn to understand how the music works as a language. If the interest and the profile of the student goes in the direction of the purely classical music performance, the lessons will be focused on a deep and conscious piano technique development, practicing techniques, musical interpretation, history of music, history of the piano, applied harmony on the keyboard, analysis, and score reading by a method that I have developed for over 15 years of experience. And if the students wish, I can help them to prepare for the ABRSM exams and competitions as well. All this is aiming to achieve in a very practical and exciting experience the best results in the fastest way possible. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.

Hope you can join and if so, I’ll be very happy to teach you!

I am Natalia, a pianist, composer, and music teacher. Music plays a central role in my life and forms the basis of everything I do: playing, creating, and teaching.

At the piano, I constantly discover and develop new musical ideas. Composing music is a natural way for me to express feelings, atmosphere, and stories. Sometimes a composition originates from a small motif or a simple melody that slowly develops into a complete piece of music. My inspiration comes from various sources: life, emotions, nature, films, stories, and moments of silence in which music can arise spontaneously.

My music moves between various styles, with a strong emphasis on melody, atmosphere, and emotion. The foundation often lies in the piano sound, but the musical language I use can contain classical influences as well as modern, cinematic, or popular elements. I love music that evokes images and tells a story, as if the listener can feel a scene or a world simply by listening.

In addition to composing, I also share my musical experience as a music teacher. In my piano lessons, I want to teach students not only how to play notes, but also how to understand, interpret, and experience music. For me, learning music is a process in which technique, listening, creativity, and expression come together. Therefore, in my lessons, I pay attention to musicality, interpretation, and developing a personal musical voice.

My experience as a composer also influences my teaching style. I help students not only to perform music, but also to understand how music is structured and how a melody, harmony, or rhythm is created. In this way, they not only learn to play the piano but also develop deeper musical insight and creativity.

To me, music is a living art form that is constantly growing. As a pianist, composer, and teacher, I want to continue creating, sharing, and passing on music to

I write and play music for a variety of projects where powerful and meaningful music is needed. For example:

• films and short films
• television programs and documentaries
• theatre and stage productions
• commercials and advertising campaigns
• original songs and musical projects
• live piano music for events and special occasions

As mentioned earlier, in addition to composing and performing, I also share my passion for music with others through piano lessons. In my lessons, I guide students—from beginners to advanced—not only to learn to play the piano, but also to truly understand, feel, and create music.

For me, music is more than sounds – it is a way to tell stories, share emotions, and connect people.

Welcome to my musical world.

My guitar lessons are designed to make learning guitar fun and rewarding. I break down new concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps, so students can build their skills and confidence without feeling overwhelmed.

From your very first lesson, you’ll start learning a real song! I teach the fundamentals of guitar through carefully selected songs, giving you the opportunity to start making music right away. Once you’ve learned the basics, you get to choose songs you actually want to play, and we use those songs to continue building your skills and expanding what you can do on the guitar. I believe learning guitar is much more enjoyable when you get to play the music you listen to and love. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already have some experience, I’ll help you develop the skills you need while keeping lessons fun and motivating. No prior experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm and a love for music!

I’m excited to help you begin (or continue) your musical journey!

Would you classify improvisation as composition or performance? Well actually it is both! When you improvise you are composing music on the spot, performing what you have made up at the same time as you have composed it.

For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease.

The key to success is understanding chords. Once you know how chords are formed and know what notes make up a few chords you will be well on your way towards being able to improvise. We will, therefore, start by ensuring a firm knowledge of certain chords. After this we will progress to improvising a simple melody over the top of these chords. The next stage is to start using notes that are not in the chord. The process is then open ended with emphasis on developing the melody.

If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session.

Whether you play a single line instrument (flute, saxophone, trumpet, violin etc.) or keyboard instruments, this class is for you.

What can you expect?
- Clear explanation, at your own pace.
- Theory made immediately applicable with examples on the piano.

- Tutoring fully tailored to your level and goal (classical, pop, songwriting, production, ...).

About me
I obtained a Grade 8 diploma in Music Theory and also a Grade 8 Piano from the Royal Schools of Music. In addition, I hold a diploma in Audio Engineering from Hofa College. I am active as a music artist and producer myself. Thanks to this combination of classical training and practical experience, I know how important it is to make theory understandable, concrete, and musical. I use my own piano during lessons to clarify everything visually and audibly.

Possible topics:
- Learn to read music.
- Scales, chords & harmony.
- Form and analysis (classical, jazz or pop).
- Rhythm, time signatures & tempo.
- Music theory for producers/songwriters.

PROFESSIONAL GUITARIST, COMPOSER, MUSIC AND GUITAR TEACHER

Beginner-Advanced Level

Experience:
I am a professional musician and have been teaching students of all ages for over 20 years. My experience as a teacher and my pursuit of self-improvement as a musician have led me to develop an effective method that I have already tested with over a hundred students.
Throughout my career I had the satisfaction of studying with great masters of different specialties or styles, each one emphasizing different aspects of flamenco, classical or modern guitar and each one has given me their approach (technique, rhythms, accompaniment, harmony, etc.), which has led me after years of study and compilation to take the best from each one to develop my method.

My role in my classes is more that of a personal trainer than a teacher, where I will be very attentive to bringing out the best in my students, finding the right technique to help them develop a good rhythm, working on their rhythm, etc.
For me, the role of a teacher, in addition to teaching, is to be part of a team, to maintain morale and constantly improve oneself while always maintaining a love for music.

Methodology:
I tailor the lessons to the student's level, style, or goals. Generally, the first half of the lesson is dedicated to technique, focusing on proper placement, execution, and relaxation, which will result in a good sound. Over time, I've realized that it's also a way to connect with the guitar, concentrate, and warm up. So, little by little, we'll develop our routine, which will begin by working on basic rhythmic aspects.
The second half is dedicated to playing, trying to put into practice what we learned about the technique with the sticks or studying other concerns of the student, which may be a theme, harmony, falsetas, improvisation, or even other styles, etc., always obviously taking into account the search or interest of the student.

My goal is for you to learn to play, nothing more. Play at your own pace, without pressure, but be able to play any piece. Not just memorize a few, but be able to understand and make music without my guidance.

What will we do? Aural training, motor technique, and some sight-reading to teach you the color palette that musicians use. My 1-hour sessions are dynamic and designed to develop your technique, creativity, and expression. What will we work on?
• Improvisation and composition in real time.
• Auditory training (a very fun game where we learn to "draw" the notes that sound in the air).
• Reading, harmony and practical resources adapted to your level.

Additionally, if you want to take your music to the next level, I teach music production with DAWs (like Logic Pro), sequencers, and MIDI controllers.

I'll work around your schedule because I know we all work towards our dreams. I'll provide you with all the necessary materials.

Hello, my future student!
I would love to offer you a different approach to the guitar music you love!

I am an experienced guitar teacher with seven years of teaching experience in both public and private schools. During the pandemic, I also started teaching online, and I have continued offering online lessons ever since.

My students come from different backgrounds and have a wide range of musical interests. Sometimes they introduce me to music I have never heard before — and I love that! We can learn the songs and repertoire you enjoy while also building the skills you need to become a confident and versatile guitarist.

Of course, good musicianship comes with good technique, and I will make sure you develop a solid technical foundation so that you can feel more comfortable and free when playing the music you love.

Whether you are looking for a guitar teacher for your child or finally want to make your dream of learning guitar as an adult come true, you can expect our lessons to be both fun and effective.

My international experience includes concerts and studies across Europe, including Serbia, Slovakia, Poland, and Spain. Along the way, I studied music pedagogy and earned diplomas in both Performing Arts and Music Pedagogy from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava.

Lessons are available in English, Spanish, Serbian, or Slovak.

If you would like to know more about the lessons, feel free to get in touch. I would be happy to answer your questions.

Do you have trouble reading music? Do you love listening to music, but don't understand time signatures, keys or chords? Music theory often sounds abstract, but with the right explanation and concrete examples it suddenly becomes a lot more logical, and even fun :)

For whom?
- Beginner or advanced musicians who want to better understand what they are doing.
- Students preparing for music theory exams (e.g. music school, entrance exams).

- Anyone who is curious about the language behind music.

- Learn to read music.
- Scales, chords & harmony.
- Form and analysis (classical, jazz or pop).
- Rhythm, time signatures & tempo.

FLAMENCO
