About Me

I have more than 15 years of experience teaching children and young people in different parts of the world, always with very good results. For this reason, SMR Felipe VI has awarded me the Medal of Civil Merit in 2019.

I have worked for 8 years in Venezuela as an orchestra director in El Sistema and drinking from that knowledge I have developed as a teacher and as a person.

I have studied piano, music theory, orchestra conducting at the Superior Conservatory of Music in Oviedo and Madrid.
But my true training has been practice and having worked for many years, developing my own way of teaching that has always given me very good results.

Hello! I've been teaching continuously for over 10 years, and I'd like to explain what you can expect from a class with me.

Personalized approach: The most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I will tailor the lessons to your needs: playing for pleasure at home is not the same as preparing for entrance exams (although always with the same rigor). Your goals will influence the methodology, the organization of your studies, the repertoire, and so on.

Relaxed (but rigorous) environment: Once you've defined your goals, classes will be dynamic and pressure-free. Note! "Relaxed" doesn't mean undemanding; we'll just avoid military methods—especially given my personality and sense of humor.

Music, not just notes: My methods are very dynamic, with a special emphasis on hearing and musicality. No "read, play, and turn the page." At my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.
