I have experience teaching students of all age and levels and I specialise in tailoring my teaching to meet the individual needs of each student. Beginner flute lessons are suitable for students learning from scratch or those already playing up to about ABRSM Grade 2 level. In beginner flute lessons, you will learn the fundamentals of making a sound and play your first notes, as well as the basics of reading music. As lessons progress, you will learn your first short pieces and maybe even prepare for graded exams. Intermediate lessons are suitable for students already playing at about ABRSM Grade 3 to Grade 5 levels. At the rate of one session each we will focus once on technique and movements outside the drums (on pads) and the other time on the drums and the application of technique and movements. -> The technique lessons and the movements will be those of the so-called 'Moeller technique' that I learned through his direct lineage of student. -> The drum lessons are greatly inspired by the pedagogy of the M.A.I. (Music Academy International - Nancy (fr)) and in particular that of Richard-Paul Morellini, renowned instructor. The courses are complete, in-depth but above all specifically thought of to be progressive. Heloise has been amazing with me. Her patience and expertise has been a god send. I have moved to Switzerland and needed to learn learn french. I am dyslexic and old so she has her work cut out. But in 3 months I have gone from not being able to speak french. To holding conversations if not at full speed but conversations none the less. I could not recommend her highly enough as a french teacher. Her teaching methods have evolved over the time due to my learning ability. She can see whats is working with me and what's not. The lessons are fun and informative so I actually look forward to them instead of dreading them as before. Merci beaucoup 😁

Katayama-san is a great Japanese teacher and I would recommend him to not only students who are taking JLPT but also for people like me who are learning Japanese on their own.
