Hi! I’m Marilyn

I’m from Peru, and I’m a Spanish teacher. I consider myself a kind, patient, cheerful, and curious person. I love meeting people from different places, discovering new cultures, and learning from each of them.

My journey as a teacher began in Peru, where I had the opportunity to teach Spanish in person at a language school. Later, I had a very special experience in Mexico, where I taught Spanish to teenagers and had the chance to experience another Spanish-speaking culture firsthand. These experiences helped me discover how much I enjoy teaching and sharing my language with people from different countries.

Seven years ago, I started teaching Spanish online, and since then I have had the opportunity to work with students of different ages and nationalities. This experience has allowed me not only to teach my language, but also to learn so much from my students and their different cultures.

In my classes, I like to create a relaxed, dynamic, and supportive environment where you can speak, ask questions, make mistakes, and learn without fear. For me, communication is essential. I want you to use Spanish from the very beginning and feel that every class helps you make real progress.

I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and Other Modern Languages (ELE) at the University of Seville in Spain. I’m passionate about continuing to grow as a teacher and learning new strategies to provide effective lessons that are adapted to each student’s needs and goals.

I’m also a very creative teacher, and I love designing my own teaching materials, activities, and interactive online games. Would you like to improve your Spanish while discovering some of the most important works, authors and ideas in Spanish literature?

This class combines advanced Spanish language learning with the study of Spanish literature and culture, in a dynamic, engaging environment adapted to each student's level and goals.

The sessions are taught by a university professor specialized in Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) and an Instituto Cervantes-accredited examiner, with extensive experience teaching Spanish to international students.

We will work with literary texts from different periods and authors — from the classics to contemporary literature — to develop not only your reading comprehension, but also your ability to express yourself with greater accuracy, richness and naturalness in Spanish.
