English for everyone: homework help and academic support, learning or improvement courses, whatever your levelTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hello! My name is Najwa. Originally from Canada, where I lived and studied in English and French, I recently moved to Belgium. I am comfortable using both languages on a daily basis, which allows me to explain concepts clearly, whether in pure English or by using comparisons with French when necessary. With a degree in social work (UQAM), I have extensive experience in providing support, whether it be tutoring children with schoolwork and homework help, or helping them learn English. I know how to adapt my approach to each individual: patience, active listening, and effective teaching methods are at the heart of my teaching style. I offer English lessons for all ages and levels: -Beginners who want to lay a solid foundation -Students receiving academic support (homework, exam preparation) -Adult language development courses (conversation, speaking confidence, professional English) My courses take place exclusively online. My goal: for you to progress at your own pace, in a relaxed and non-judgmental atmosphere. I adapt to your needs and objectives, whether it's passing an exam, preparing for a trip, or simply gaining confidence. Feel free to contact me to discuss your goals!

Zooanthropology, or On Becoming Cultural with Non-human AnimalsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Zooanthropology, or On Becoming Cultural with Non-human AnimalsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

What if human culture is not exclusively human? Zooanthropology, or On Becoming Cultural with Non-human Animals is an introductory 10-lesson course exploring the relationship between humans and other animals and asking a fundamental question: how much of what we call “culture” has actually emerged through our relationships with other species? The course offers a different perspective. Rather than considering culture an exclusively human achievement, zooanthropology understands it as something that has emerged through relationships, encounters and exchanges between species. Other animals are not simply objects of human knowledge or resources for human development: they are subjects who have influenced, shaped and transformed us. This perspective invites us to reconsider our own position in the world and to question some deeply rooted assumptions about the supposed boundary between humans and other animals. It also encourages us to decentre our perspective and to become more attentive to forms of intelligence, communication, emotion, learning and relationship that do not seem to resemble our own. The course is transdisciplinary, drawing on anthropology, philosophy, ethology and other fields. Along the way, you will encounter concepts such as intersubjectivity, epiphany, hybridisation and epimelesis, among many others. But don't be intimidated by the terminology! No previous knowledge of anthropology, philosophy, ethology or zooanthropology is required. What the course does require is curiosity, an interest in human–nonhuman animal relations, and a willingness to question some familiar ideas and look at the world from a less anthropocentric perspective. Slides and a bibliography will be provided.

English language with a native speaker (British, RP)Translate this text using Google Translate.

English language has become more than just a language. It is a presumed matter of modern culture and a basic tool for - everything. I am offering this language part, as a person who was born in UK, with a tone of clear and precise standard British accent (Received pronunciation, King'sEnglish, Oxford English) and with a sound of British culture and history. I act therefore as an accent coach as well along with teaching grammar and conversation practice. Since I am a Croat (and have spoken both Croatian and English since birth) I offer Croatian language classes as well and up to the very same high standards (grammar explanations, conversation practice and the standard accent guidance). So I speak Croatian using the language standard accent as spoken in the State official informing services, Universities and Institutions. Maths is the third subject I can help you with and which I deal with (as an Architect I have studied Maths as well). There are three things I'd like to say... - Maths is a game, using brain gymnastics, a responsible discipline applied everywhere, universaly used and one of the most important ones, but still a game and with similar joy it keeps inside of itself released when one is winning or solvng a Maths problem... - the most beautiful and elegant and almost always the shortest, as so, solution is - the best one - and that is both for what I mostly seek for and teach for regarding Maths.. - and third but not less important is a message - Maths is actually more simple than one, who fears, often thinks it to be ! Along with being an optimist the best way to be free of fear is - to start learning on time and being regular with it.
