I love to teach students from the very beginning to help them achieve a good technique and musical ear. The first few lessons are so important to understand how the body works with the violin in order to achieve a beautiful tone and musicality later down the line. I also cater for exams with ABRSM and trinity exam boards I have currently moved to London to continue my studies of the violin with Fabienne Fauritte. I’m a professional musician who studied on the highly regarded jazz course at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance; whilst at Trinity I also studied Flute with members of some of London’s prestigious orchestras. I've performed all over London at well known venues like Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and The South Bank Centre but also played around in the city in jazz clubs like Kansas Smitty’s and Olivers. As well as performing in London I’ve played all around the UK and abroad at festivals such as the New Generations Festival in Florence (playing with American jazz artists such as Dominic Farinacci and Dan Tepfer). I’m also a highly experienced and regard teacher having taught all the way from university level to primary school. My teaching adapts to the pupil after we identify the areas we want to and wish to work on but also aspects of playing i think you need to improve or will be good to work on. When I begin teaching an individual, I make sure that I inspire them and teach them the value and beauty of music. I am very thorough about teaching technique properly so that it will last and be an asset in one's musical future, but I still like to keep my students on their toes and excited about actually making music and adding life to the notes they draw out of their instruments. Each individual is different and has different goals they wish to achieve with their playing, thus, for me it is very important to establish a connection with my students and cater each lesson to their specific needs and learning style.

I have had the pleasure of sharing my love of music with musicians of all ages ever since I began teaching the violin in 2014. I teach both young and mature students, focusing my energy on private lessons. I have also had the opportunity to work with groups of young children at summer programs in collaboration with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony.

Approach to Teaching
– I favour a structured approach. I devise lesson plans in advance of every lesson, catered to the student's specific needs.
– Violin lessons tend to be carefully planned to focus on specific technical aspects of performance. To train musicality, I often teach this through the use of Kreutzer and Fiorillo etudes, Dont studies, and also pieces of repertoire catered to the student's musical interests and technical requirements.
– I am open to considering student repertoire suggestions if they are particularly passionate about a certain piece.

Lesson Structure
– Typically violin lessons range in length from 30 minutes to an hour, but I am flexible: I am more than happy to devise a lesson structure that caters for a student's requirements.
