About Me

I am a freelance musician who actively creates works in a wide range, currently living in Halle (Saale), Germany.

Born into a small but multicultural city with a diverse art scene, in Turkey, I had the opportunity to start a music education in my early childhood. I graduated from Turkish Folk Music program of Municipal Conservatory of Giresun and two private courses (Giresun Society of Journalists, Friends of Music Association) in 2003, 2001 and 2006, respectively. I founded my first professional music band in 2007 and regularly performed in a well-known restaurant in Giresun more than a year.

In April 2015, I started “Print and Media Technology” master program at Chemnitz University of Technology. After moving to Chemnitz, I have quickly taken my place in art and culture scene of the city. In the beginning of 2016, I founded the band “South of Blue” and we published our first album in May 2016. This was only the beginning of a road leading to countless shows, cultural events and awards such as Highfield Bandcontest Finals, Willkommen in Chemnitz, TU Chemnitz Sommerfest and Atom Awards’16. The band published two albums and one EP up to now and played over 40 concerts in Germany. Next to “South of Blue” I perform as a solo musician in Germany since 2015. In 2019, I started working on my solo project professionally and released the first single of the project in November 2019.

In October 2020, I moved to Leipzig and started working for the online Music School “Greifmusic” as a Guitar Teacher. Since April 2021 I am a member of the intercultural orchestra “Klänge der Hoffnung” in Leipzig where I play Bağlama.
