my name is Carl Christian and I offer sound bass lessons in the field of electric bass and double bass for beginners to advanced of all ages. This ranges from learning the basics of the instrument to professional preparation for the entrance exams at music schools. It is personally important to me to adapt my lessons to the musical goals of my students so that they are always motivated and fun. Whether you'd like to jam with friends around the fire, mess around with the guitar at home or master classical pieces, I am happy to offer guitar lessons on any level for any age.

Over 15 years of experience with big bands, orchestras, ensembles and bands are offered on my side.

I offer lessons in composition, especially film music, orchestration and music theory for students (including prospective students), schoolchildren and young people, advanced and experienced and simply interested people in Germany. I completed my Master of Composition at the Royal College of Music last summer and have now moved back to Leipzig. Since the lessons were held in English, English- or Dutch-speaking students are also welcome.
Film music is an increasingly popular specialty of composition and is therefore on an up and coming path and not just popular among the younger generation. Classical composition is also an important part, which is why I offer a range from Vaughan Williams to Wagner and John Williams to Hans Zimmer (orchestral music - computer music).

About the method:
At first we always warm up with breathing and singing exercises to work on the technique and articulation. The duration of this depends on your experience and requirements.
In the other part of the lesson we work on the respective piece.

To me:
I am the singer of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Choir and a musicologist.
Classically trained, I can also sing jazz, soul and pop. In the past, I have performed as a soloist in the gospel choir, at city festivals, birthday parties, weddings and company events for years and continue to do so occasionally.

This class is for people who want to develop their musicianship, to be able to pick up any instrument and work out a tune, to be able to pick up a guitar at a jam session and join in!!
My teaching aims to improve musicality and to have fun, and of course with a focus on an instrument of your choice (this can be keyboard, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, mandolin, harmonica, whatever instruments I have lying around hehe :D). We can learn songs, riffs, chords, whatever you like!
I have played music since I was 12, so over half my life, and since then I have played in a variety of different genre bands. Even without formal training, I have an extensive knowledge of music theory and I like to write my own jazz tunes. I am currently trying to join bands since I've moved to Leipzig:)

Music is a very particular and emotional way to communicate with our environment. Everything in this world works with vibrations, which we can translate into music, according to different points of perspective. With music we can transmit our feelings, moods, needs or sensations that come from the deepest part of our being and we cannot express them in any other way. I am here to share my knowledge in music with you and take you to another level with your musical skills.
