My name is Francesco, and I am a classical guitar teacher with over 20 years of experience in guitar education. My lessons are personalized and tailored to all levels, from beginners to advanced players, with a special focus on classical guitar technique and performance. I offer a customized approach based on your specific musical needs and goals, whether you want to master the classical repertoire, improve your technique, or explore the beauty of ensemble music. My teaching integrates both traditional methods and modern concepts, with a strong emphasis on musical expression and interpretation.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, a Master's in Performance, a Master's in Pedagogy, and a Doctorate in Musicology, I offer structured yet flexible lessons in French, English, Italian, and German. Each lesson is designed to support your unique musical journey, with a focus on refining your technical skills, deepening your understanding of music theory, and enhancing your performance abilities.

The lessons include warm-ups, repertoire study, and personalized guidance on technique, interpretation, and musicality. The viola, brother instrument of the violin and the cello offers a rich palette of colors and a warm sound that we will learn to develop together.
Instrumental practice is central, but we can also make some theoretical digressions (history of music, music theory, etc.) if necessary and according to the wishes of the student.
Start by learning healthy posture to produce full, controlled sounds. Learn the notes on the instrument while reading the score. Play in pizzicato then arco to feel the individuality of each hand. As a master's student in jazz and contemporary music pedagogy at the Lausanne University of Music, I offer guitar, bass or saxophone lessons.
My experience playing in very varied ensembles and styles (chamber music, metal groups, rock, funk, Cuban, gospel, tango, orchestras, big jazz band, etc.) and with various musical instruments has allowed me to allowed us to develop a versatile musical approach.

Hello! My name is Yann, I'm a 28-year-old professional musician and bassist with a Master's degree in Jazz Performance from the Lausanne University of Music. I love sharing my experience with you and passing on what I've learned and what I'm currently learning!

I am passionate about offering personalized lessons, the main goal of which is to develop your personal relationship with music and integrate the arts into your daily life. All levels are welcome. I will help you develop tools to analyze and interpret your favorite music, and even create your own! I am comfortable in a wide variety of styles, having performed in numerous concerts across extremely diverse musical genres.

During the guitar lessons, we will cover:

- The technical aspect of the Guitar, the basics of posture and the different playing modes

My career as an instrumentalist began a few years ago alongside numerous Swiss artists, including J.NUNN, Roxane, Chelan, and Nnavy. I have performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Paleo, Cully Jazz, Les Docks, and Caribana, as well as at numerous events throughout Switzerland, as well as in France, Germany, and the Netherlands. I give between 60 and 70 concerts per year.
I also have several experiences as a musician, producer and composer in professional studios in France, Norway and Switzerland.

This teaching method aims to place the joy of playing at the heart of the process, allowing for a more engaging and accessible approach to theoretical concepts. Having trained at a conservatory and with 10 years of experience, I have explored a different teaching approach through playing in groups practicing free improvisation.
I was a student of Thibault Abrial (guitarist for Trust, Johnny Hallyday and Michel Berger) between 2017 and 2024, and I draw inspiration from his teaching methods.

Learning chords or theoretical knowledge (triads, scales, arpeggios) is done at the student's request.

The goal is to emphasize active listening, in order to understand how to play without reproducing a score: the use of tablature will be as an additional tool and not as a structuring principle of my approach.
