A multifaceted artist with an insatiable curiosity, Bera specializes in the saxophone, teaching, cultural management, research and performance on contemporary and experimental music. Born in Ayacucho, Argentina, and based between Switzerland and Hong Kong, she has a nomadic spirit and a migrant identity.

She completed her degree in Musical Arts at the National University of the Arts in Buenos Aires (UNA). Simultaneously, she studied Political Science at the University of Buenos Aires for several years before abandoning that career path upon receiving a scholarship from the Mozarteum Argentino to pursue professional music studies in the Netherlands. During this period, she developed a strong artistic identity, refined her sensitivity, and cultivated a profound commitment to musical education. After her time in the Netherlands, she continued her European journey, studying in France and Switzerland while working alongside renowned masters of music. These experiences provided both inspiration and artistic challenges. Her academic achievements include a Master's in Performance, a Master's in Music Pedagogy from the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne (Switzerland), and a Master's in Cultural Management from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain).

Some of the awards she has won and institutions that have supported her over the years include: first prize in the UNA Chamber Music Contest (Argentina), Páleo Hes-So (Switzerland), Mozarteum (Argentina), Fondo Nacional de las Artes (Argentina), Fundación Irène Dénéréaz (Switzerland), Fundación Max Jost (Switzerland), and Ibermúsicas (Latin America), among others. A saxophone teacher based in Switzerland and internationally, Bera shares her passion for education through masterclasses, residencies, workshops, and lectures at universities, conservatories, and academies. Her collaborations with composers, visual artists, sound artists, dancers, and performers have led to numerous works in the contemporary saxophone repertoire, as well as various performances and interdisciplinary projects.

In collaboration with composer Alberto Barberis, they have presented musical and educational projects internationally since 2022 and are preparing their musical research project "Erro." Bera lives in Lausanne, Switzerland, where she is a member of the theater company 2b, the Société de Musique Contemporaine, and the municipality's music secretariat.

She is currently pursuing a doctoral program in Hong Kong (HK), where she examines the relevance of human agency as conceptual framework in the current technocratic context through electroacoustic musical practice with augmented instruments.

Practicing the piano since the age of 4, I obtained in 2020 my DEM (Diploma of musical studies) from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Strasbourg (Alsace) (equivalent to the Swiss Certificate). A graduate of the Paris Conservatory, I had the chance to work alongside many exciting pianists and teachers, such as Denis Pascal, Pascal Amoyel, Rena Shereshevskaya and in improvised music Paul Lay and Emil Spányi, who were able, throughout my career, to bring me into musical research and maintain this taste for the instrument.

Being attracted by musical creation, as well as composition, I was also able to study harmony, arrangement, music theory and composition at the Rueil-Malmaison conservatory in the Paris region.

Alongside my musical projects as a classical and jazz pianist and musical composition, I devote myself to my passion for educational transmission.
