I'm a London-based, classically trained violinist who loves helping people explore and expand their skills on the violin. Each student is unique and has their own strengths, weaknesses and goals, and guiding them along their path is like solving a different puzzle every time. And I love puzzles! I tailor my teaching to the student, so in a first lesson I like to get to know you a little bit, hear about your ideas, your goals and what your relationship to the instrument is. I’m a professional musician who studied on the highly regarded jazz course at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance; whilst at Trinity I also studied Flute with members of some of London’s prestigious orchestras. I've performed all over London at well known venues like Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and The South Bank Centre but also played around in the city in jazz clubs like Kansas Smitty’s and Olivers. As well as performing in London I’ve played all around the UK and abroad at festivals such as the New Generations Festival in Florence (playing with American jazz artists such as Dominic Farinacci and Dan Tepfer). Playing the violin not only helps both children and adults to broaden their musical taste, but it also improves brain function, builds physical coordination, and serves as a powerful emotional outlet. This is why I think that everyone should at least at one point or another play the violin, because in my opinion, playing an instrument really improves ones' peace and even just playing for yourself will calm you down and will just make you sit and enjoy the music!
