Violin lessons from absolute beginners to advanced students

Playing the violin not only helps both children and adults to broaden their musical taste, but it also improves brain function, builds physical coordination, and serves as a powerful emotional outlet.
This is why I think that everyone should at least at one point or another play the violin, because in my opinion, playing an instrument really improves ones' peace and even just playing for yourself will calm you down and will just make you sit and enjoy the music!
I teach everyone starting from the age of 4, from absolute beginners to advanced students, because I believe that music has no age limit and it is never too late to start learning something new!

About Me
Learn Violin with a Young, Passionate Violinist 🎻
Hi! My name is Alexandra, I’m a violinist from Belgium currently living and studying in London.
I’ve been passionate about the violin for many years and have studied with experienced teachers throughout my musical education. I recently completed four years at the Music Academy of Anderlecht in Belgium, where I focused on developing my technique, musicality, and performance skills.
I offer violin lessons for **beginners, children, teenagers, and adults**, whether you are starting from scratch, returning to the violin after a break, or looking to improve your existing skills.
My lessons can include:
- 🎻 Violin technique and posture
- 🎼 Learning to read music
- 🎵 Intonation, rhythm and musical expression
- 📚 Learning pieces and building a repertoire
- 🎶 Preparation for auditions, performances or exams
- 💪 Building confidence and developing good practice habits
I believe that learning the violin should be enjoyable as well as challenging. I try to create a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I also adapt each lesson to the student's age, level, personality and goals.
As a student myself, I understand how difficult certain aspects of learning an instrument can be. I want my students not only to improve technically, but also to understand and enjoy the music they are playing.
I also have experience performing and preparing for auditions, so I can share practical advice on performance confidence and preparation.
**Lessons are available in London or online**, depending on your preference.
If you've always wanted to learn the violin, or you're looking for someone to help you take your playing further, feel free to get in touch. I'd be very happy to meet you and start making music together! 🎻

Education
Brussels International Music Academy (2012–2026)
I began my musical education at the Brussels International Music Academy, where I developed my foundations in music and began my journey as a violinist. Over the years, I had the opportunity to study music in a supportive environment and take part in different musical activities and performances.
Musica Mundi School (2018–2020)
From 2018 to 2020, I attended Musica Mundi School, an international school focused on supporting young musicians and providing them with opportunities to develop both musically and personally. This experience allowed me to deepen my musical education, meet and work alongside young musicians from different backgrounds, and gain valuable experience in an international musical environment.
Music Academy of Anderlecht (2022–2026)
I continued my violin studies at the Music Academy of Anderlecht, where I spent four years developing my technique, musicality, and performance skills. During this period, I worked closely with my violin teacher and participated in performances and auditions, gaining valuable experience both as a musician and as a performer. This period played an important role in preparing me for further musical studies and developing my confidence as a violinist.

Experience / Qualifications
Over 3 years of experience teaching violin and piano to students of all ages and levels.
I have experience teaching both violin and piano to children, teenagers, and adults, from complete beginners to students with previous musical experience. Over the years, I have learned to adapt my teaching approach to each student, taking into account their age, level, personality, learning style, and individual goals.
My lessons focus not only on developing technical skills, but also on helping students understand and enjoy the music they are playing. Depending on the student's needs, we can work on posture, technique, music reading, rhythm, intonation, repertoire, musical expression, and performance confidence.
I especially enjoy working with beginners and helping them build a strong foundation while keeping lessons motivating and enjoyable. For more experienced students, I can also help with improving technique, preparing pieces, auditions, performances, and developing more confidence as a musician.
Having been a music student myself for many years, I understand the challenges that come with learning an instrument. My goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and progressing at their own pace.
I believe that every student can develop musically with the right guidance, patience, and encouragement, and I always try to make lessons both productive and enjoyable.
