About Me

I have a keen interest in Brazilian music, primarily for its richness in rhythms and harmonies. It has been about 4 years since my first contact with Brazilian music and the interest is getting stronger. I have studied the original work of several reputed composers, such as Dilermando Reis, Enresto Nazareth, Marco Pereira, Yamandu Costa, and Antonio Adolfo as well as Brazilian jazz and bossa nova standards.I firmly believe that the classical guitar finds its true character in Latin music, where people treat it as a primary instrument and highlight its percussive character and natural timbre.

Education

I graduated with a diploma(excellence grade) under the supervision of Kostas Kotsiolis in Athens Conservatoire.I also have Harmony Degree earned in 2017.I took lessons with Brazilian guitarist Felipe Coehlo, who got me deeper into the various aspects of Brazilian culture and music, and I am now also under the tutelage of Mr Pereira, meeting online with both every week for our private lessons.

Of all the concerts I took part as an AC student, the highlight was when I accompanied the Athens State Orchestra in its June 2019 live performance at the Megaron of Athens Concert Hall,conducting by Vladimir Fedoseyev.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:

-Study of various playing techniques, chords, harmony, music of your choice, rhythm, with reading of tablature, teaching structured around the repertoire you like, technique of developing the musical ear
