Hello! I am Edgar, violinist and music pedagogue with more than 4 years of experience in teaching violin, especially to young children and beginners. I currently study violin at the Richard Wagner Conservatory in Vienna and studied Music Pedagogy at the Australian Guild of Music Education. My passion is to teach and share music from the earliest years, using methods that are adapted to the development of each child.
I have experience with students from as young as 2 years old to advanced students of various ages - any age is the right age to start!

My main teaching method is the Suzuki Method, for which I hold several certifications. This method is widely known for its effectiveness in early music education, encouraging natural learning through repetition, imitation, and active parental support. I also include other specialized teaching techniques to create a fun and effective learning environment. Parental involvement is crucial and I guide them on how to create a supportive musical atmosphere at home.

I work with students with previous experience or complete beginners. Together with the student, parents and teacher, we create a meaningful learning process.

I offer private music theory tutoring lessons to students of beginner level of different ages Depending on the student's final goal we adjust the knowledge and skills that we focus on with the student. I mostly focus on classical music theory, but can also provide an introduction to jazz and pop music theory.

My goal as a teacher is to keep and increase the students' love for music as well as to offer necessary and appropriate knowledge/skills to keep the student challenged and of course enjoy the fun of music!

Hi, my name is Atsu and I'd love to pass on my knowledge, my experiences and my passion to you! I started playing the violin when I was three and up until now I've studied with Fuminori Shinozaki and Simon Wiener, amongst others.

I gladly offer my assistance to you, so that you can achieve your goals efficiently. Here, it's important for me to discover your strengths together and help you develop them further. Of course, I will make sure that you have fun and you stay motivated:) Probably what's special about my lesson is that we're also going to play duets, which should help you learn to listen to other musicians and acquire the skills needed for playing in an ensemble.

In the long run: it's not just about learning the rules and correct techniques; it is also vital that you eventually learn to interpret the music on your own personal way by using your (musical) intelligence, and to have the confidence to break traditional norms. It is through the hands of artists who dare to experiment that music (like all art forms) becomes alive.

Your (or your child's) age doesn't matter that much; it's never too late to start learning! I will adapt the teaching methods individually.
