As a professional musician with both Bachelor and Master degrees I have experience teaching at primary schools, secondary schools, music camps, and at home tutelage. I pride myself on being able to tailor lessons to best suit each individual student’s learning style, and on being able to adapt the level of strictness or lightness to the situation. About Me

I’ve been learning violin and viola for almost 18 years and throughout this time the most important factor in my learning (other than practice) has been the teachers I had. A bad teacher can make a student quit entirely, and in primary school I almost experienced this. This taught me the importance of a good teacher. In the lessons I give I aim to be encouraging, positive, and to inspire a student to keep going and do their personal best. Throughout my life I’ve moved from rural Australia, gradually down the coast to Sydney, and now all the way to Amsterdam. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the support of the teachers I’ve had and I hope to be that person for other violinists and violists.

You will start to enjoy playing the piano both during and outside of the time of the class. You will learn how to be able to perform in a way that inspires your audience. I will teach you the basic music theory without going way deep into it because this is a performance class but you will learn what you need to excel in your performance. Additionally, I will teach you the principles of aesthetics of playing the piano. The repertoire that I focus on is mostly Western modern and Classical music, but we can also work on some famous Persian and Turkish pieces if you like. Of course, you are also always welcome to bring your favorite pieces to the class. Contact me for availability.

Adrian (1997) is an Amsterdam-based guitarist from Caracas, Venezuela that is part of the up-coming generation of the Dutch Jazz scene. Winner of the Erasmus Jazz Prize 2019, Adrian has performed at top festivals such as North Sea Jazz Fest, North Sea Round Town and Grachtenfestival, and has also shared the stage with established and emerging musicians such as Benjamin Herman, Stefan Lievestro and Alessandro Fongaro.

Adrian (1997) started classical guitar lessons at age 11 but quickly switched to electric guitar because of his passion for rock music. At age 14, he was admitted to the TJC Music School in his hometown, Caracas, where he studied jazz guitar, graduating with honours at age 17. While living in Venezuela, Adrian started playing professionally at 16 years old, being called a “young promise”. In 2017, Adrian moved to The Netherlands to study at Codarts University of the Arts, later transferring to Conservatorium van Amsterdam in 2019 to study with Jesse van Ruller, Reinier Baas, Martijn van Iterson, Maarten van der Grinten, and many more. Adrian is currently living in Amsterdam.

I'm a 24 years old Portuguese violist currently living in Amsterdam.
I have studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Nobuko Imai and Francien Schatborn for 6 years from 2014 till 2020.
As a freelancer I work with numerous orchestras such as: Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, Radio Filharmonisch Orkest and Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. I'm also an active chamber music player, amongst others as a member of the Rotterdam Chamber Music Society.

In addition to my private teaching experience, I have also done a teaching internship at the Muziekschool in Amstelveen during my studies, which gave me a lot of experience working with all levels of playing.

In my lessons I always go first for the student's aim, what suits him/her the best and always serving the music.

As a Jazz Trumpet student of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam I offer private lessons for all ages and all levels.
In addition to my studies, I had been offering teaching Trumpet, Music Theory and Piano beginners (of any age), group or private lessons as well. I had been working in several schools in Istanbul teaching those subjects, examining, organizing auditions and helping students to prepare auditions to play in orchestras and schools.

Hi!
Originally from Madeira (Portugal), I have been playing the violin for more than 20 years. After graduating from Bachelor and Masters, both at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, I have decided to pursue my education in the teaching field, currently enrolled on a second master's degree, this time in teaching.

In addition to already having a vast curriculum as a soloist or orchestral musician, I consider myself highly passionate about teaching, not only violin but also music theory. I have been very lucky to have had great teachers, who, in addition to have taught me the violin and the love for music, they have also shaped the person I am today.
