How to sing with confidence and joy - lessons taught by a professional classical singer!
From 122.98 C$ /h
Singing is good for the soul and I believe that everyone and anyone can learn to sing! I’ve been a professional classical singer for 15 years now, touring all over the world with UK-based ensembles and singing in some of the most incredible concert halls. I studied music at Oxford University and did a postgraduate in singing at Trinity Laban and am passionate about music education. I’ve taught all ages from 3-year-olds to 70-year-olds in workshops and on a one-to-one basis. I offer lessons focussing on vocal health and confidence, improving range, learning new repertoire or improving current repertoire, working towards exams and performances, choral singing techniques, or just singing for simple enjoyment! My approach is holistic as I believe the voice is an extension of our bodies and personalities. I also teach recorder, piano, and general musicianship to all ages.

About Me
I live in Newbury, Berkshire with my husband, daughter and naughty cocker spaniel! I spend much of my time performing in classical concerts in the UK and also abroad with groups such as The Monteverdi Choir, The Tallis Scholars, BBC Singers, Eric Whitacre Singers and in Europe’s opera houses. I’ve sung at The Royal Albert Hall in many BBC proms. I work for Southwark Music alongside my performing work and am passionate about music education. I train music teachers to deliver music curriculum for primary schools using singing as a tool to develop musicianship. I enjoy working with all ages and have taught in primary schools, secondary schools and worked with adult choirs and individuals. My approach is pupil led. I believe a happy, relaxed atmosphere will always bring out the best in people and allow voices to flourish. I enjoy working on all sorts of repertoire from Disney to Bach, choral works to opera arias and I want to help pupils enjoy their singing and build confidence. I have a lot of experience in improving vocal health having worked with classroom teachers who have lost their voices and singers who have experienced vocal difficulties.
