Hello! I am an experienced artist and educator from the U.K. Educated at the prestigious Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, I have also studied at the Royal Drawing School. Completing their Drawing Intensive program. I worked for a company in London teaching art workshops and then independently here in Berlin. My skills focus on drawing, painting, and printmaking. I am also skilled in areas of art history and theory (with an emphasis on 20th and 21st century). I am able to help students develop exhibitions and portfolio preparation . Students with an interest in working more conceptually are also welcomed. I always help students to contextualise their work, i provide books as source material. I am also able to set reading for the class, where applicable. We can also work on ongoing projects, such as a children’s book. I am interested in technique but also in the individual idiosyncratic ways each individual makes work. Art should be therapeutic too and I always make sure to design classes at the appropriate level. Art has always been my focus in life and I can’t wait to share my skills and enthusiasm with you. My classes also offer children a good opportunity to communicate and improve in English.

I have been passionately and very successfully tutoring pupils and students in all four subjects for many years, both privately and in cooperation with various institutes. I completed my biochemistry studies at the Free University of Berlin with an outstanding degree and received several scholarships for outstanding achievements. I might as well mention the feedback I've received from my students (and parents), which indicates a high level of satisfaction. This is due in no small part to my joy in teaching, which motivates them. I'm also happy to be available outside of class – if you have a question afterward or need to discuss something urgent shortly before the exam – no problem at all – just call or WhatsApp me. From my experience, I can say that my students generally experience a (significant) improvement. There's no one who doesn't get the content I discuss. I'm very good at adapting to the level and learning style of my students. I also enjoy responding to their needs – a sense of well-being is very important to me – because that's simply the best way to learn :) With me you have someone who will familiarize you with the material in a very short time and have fun, so that you can take part in the lessons straight away and take the exams with joy :) Online lessons can take place via Zoom, Teams, Skype, Discord, etc. So if you're looking for a truly competent teacher, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to introducing you to mathematics and the natural sciences. Best regards

My way of teaching is to focus on developing confidence in using the tools for realizing your creative potential. Teaching is very important to me; to impart knowledge to a student and see them grow musically is something I find highly rewarding. In classes (held both online and offline with safety precautions in place) I focus on each student’s individual needs and cover DAW’s necessary for their aims, from Ableton Live, to Bitwig and Logic. Bio: Hayden is a classically trained composer and sound artist from the UK, currently based in Berlin. I have a great experience when it comes to teaching students. I love making concepts easy to learn and with fun too. I believe anything can be taught to children if its in a fun way. But also at the same time, I make sure that the concepts are understood by the child. My previous students loved me but also were scared too. I get strict if they do not listen and not doing their work right as I feel it's my responsibility that the child has understood the concept well. Kindly Note: I teach ONLY in ENGLISH. Currently, I am learning German.

(German version further down) I enjoy teaching because it requires a deeper knowledge of the material than if one is only performing music. I am continuously learning too. I do not think that it is important how old you are or in what environment you grew up. To engage with music as a result of learning an instrument can bring your brain into a healthy state of ongoing change. People who are "without any talent" for music do not exist. Everyone can engage with music and enjoy it. I can teach piano: - involving sheet music or not, depending on what you prefer. - or/and music theory lessons - or/and improvisation - or/and Jazz - or/and Ear Training - or/and Composition. The lessons can be held in English or German or a mixture of both. I teach close to Friedrichstraße in Berlin. The lessons can be done via Skype too. You can read about me as a performing musician here: Julius (*1995) is a German pianist and composer, graduated from the University of Arts Berne in Switzerland in 2017 with honors. In July 2019 he finished his Masters in the European Jazz Masters Program through the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen with exchange semesters in Berlin and Amsterdam. Throughout his studies, he was lucky enough to receive artistic guidance from Colin Vallon, Django Bates, Harmen Fraanje, Simon Toldam, Peter Bruun, Greg Cohen, and Michael Moore. Julius was granted a scholarship by Lyra Stiftung Zürich in 2015 and 2016. Tours with his own bands have been supported by different fundings from Switzerland and Germany. He performed all across Europe during the past years. German: When teaching, it's important to have a deeper understanding of everything than when "just" making music. I'm always learning as a teacher. It doesn't matter how old you are or whether you grew up in a music-rich or music-poor environment. Engaging with music can put our brains into a healthy state of constant change and growth. There are no people who are "talentedless" when it comes to music. Everyone can engage with music and enjoy it. I offer lessons with or without sheet music, depending on your preference. If you're interested, I also teach music theory, improvisation, jazz, ear training, and composition. Classes are held in German or English, or a mixture of both. I teach near Friedrichstrasse in Berlin. Classes can also be held via Skype. Here is an insight into my musical work: Julius (*1995) is a German pianist and composer working in the fields of jazz and improvised music. He completed his bachelor's degree at the Bern University of the Arts in 2017 with distinction. In July 2019, he completed the European Jazz Masters at the Rytmisk Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, with exchange semesters at the Jazz Institute Berlin and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. In 2015 and 2016, he received a scholarship from the Lyra Foundation in Zurich. His bands' tours have been regularly supported by German and Swiss foundations in recent years. Julius has played concerts all over Europe in recent years.

German: even if it is your mother tongue, some rules have to be learned first. But it's worth it, because your language becomes richer and you can express yourself better and better. If German is your foreign language, I will also help you to get to know and internalize the various rules. In both cases, we start by looking at where you stand, where you have some catching up to do and where I see the focus. We'll talk a lot, because language practice is the best way to learn. I attach great importance to correct pronunciation, which is especially important for foreigners / non-native speakers. We can vary the topics so that you can learn something besides the language.

My first priority is making sure your student understands that I'm not extra, boring schooling. With my fifteen years of experience in mentoring and my commitment to understanding students' needs, we will accomplish this within our first meeting. Often times, students need either support with structure or being intellectually challenged, but I offer both these outcomes. I look at previous assignments and assessments, and I use this data to understand what skills to focus on, accordingly with the standards of your country's education system (I'm familiar with the American and German standards). I also take into account, however, what exists outside of the data, including interests and needs not specified on paper. I tailor my lessons then to be worth everyone's time. I foster skills in research, organization, and writing so that students will continue benefiting long after our sessions. I utilize tools, such as games, and projects to take learning off the page. My courses are aimed at primary and secondary school students, but I also take on working adults and college and graduate-level students as I support effective literacy at every level.

Hi there, I offer private dance lessons both online and in person (in Berlin). I've been teaching (young) adults in various urban styles for over 14 years, including hip hop, locking, popping, breaking, and house. I adapt my lessons to your existing level. So I train with beginners the basics such as: Isolation, weight shifting, basic rhythm and coordination with the help of various Foundation Steps. As we progress, we then devote ourselves to topics such as quality of movement, (more complex) musicality and performance. A single lesson consists of first warming up together (warm up varies, depending on the level) in order to prepare the body for the training and to improve the condition in the long term. Then we stretch to minimize the risk of injury and improve your mobility in the long term. Of course, we devote most of the time to dancing. We can focus on learning individual basic steps, my choreographies or even freestyle. I individually address your strengths and weaknesses, your goals and wishes and create a training program that is tailored to you. My goal is to support you in such a way that you make noticeable progress in the long term. The top priority is of course having fun dancing, especially in times of the Corona. ————————— credentials Artists: Thomas Anders, Mike Singer, Lukas Rieger, Fero47, Julia Lindholm, Julie Bergan Brands: Sony, Coca Cola, Peugeot, Malboro, Bruno Banani, Schwartzkopf and many more I also have experience in events (small to large), theater stages (e.g. Friedrichstadtpalast) and in advertising (Burger King, Knoppers, Vodafone ...)
