My goal is to inspire people with music so that they find joy in playing an instrument and in the lessons. Nothing can help a musician understand music better than music theory. Whether it be improvising over jazz chord progressions, writing a score to a film or even producing beats for rappers and singers, having a good understanding of music theory will make life a lot easier for you. In this class I will teach you the parts of music theory you need for ABRSM, but also how to use it in your compositions or performances, a tool all musicians should have in their arsenal.

I'm available to teach any level of Music Theory from Grade 1-8, or provide any help with GCSE or A-Level Music exams. I can also give lessons on Aural and Sight-reading if desired. In this class we can cover the basics of Music Theory, or prepare students for Grade 5 exams or other assesments.

I finished a music school and my speciality was the piano. I did an expanded course that lasted 13 years, 3-4 times per week and, of course, all included : sight reading, notation, music theory etc. Since 7 years old, I went to several national piano competitions all around the world every year until I was accepted at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute. There, I’m studying vocals and music industry in general. I won a lot of first, second, grand prices as marks of my achievements. I’m from Lithuania, I was working there as a private piano and singing teacher for a couple of years. During a gap year I took, I was teaching as well. My classes are different depending on your level and age. With children from 7 to 12, we start by doing easy vocalization and start training the ear with intonation, we then have fun singing your favorite songs. With teenagers, I also start with some vocalization, a little more elaborate. Depending on the student's capabilities, we start establishing a comfortable range for them and then proceed to singing. For my older students ideally, I divide our lesson into 2 sections. We work on respiration and how the diaphragm works. We do scales and arpeggios and work on intonation. We then proceed to singing and putting into practice our technique. Some students might need more technique before they actually sing, I like to take things slowly and make sure the student feels confident and comfortable singing. I teach children, teenagers, and adults, from beginners to more advanced. Classical training enables you to sing in any kind of way, so don’t hesitate and let’s sing!

Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. I have over 12 years of teaching experience and I have been working as a Professional Pianist for 7 years now, in 8 different countries (Switzerland, Austria, Iceland, Spain etc.) and on Luxury Cruise Ships (Worldwide). They made great progress, I am sure you could do the same. I've never met anyone who didn't have musical abilities! You can be a serious or a recreational player. The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano. I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation. I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons. CURRICULUM I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years. For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs. Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible. I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music. I am offering Pop, Jazz, Classical singing classes for all levels and ages - basically whoever wants to initiate, improve, or perfect their vocal technique is welcome. I teach both in person and online. I have students from all over the world: Netherlands, France, Japan, Bulgaria, Latvia and more. I have students who sing for pleasure and students who are preparing for auditions and competitions. Feel free and find enjoyment and confidence in singing!
