About Me
Music is more than just a profession for me—it's a lifelong passion that I love sharing with my students. I've been intensely engaged with the piano since I was eight. Thanks to my training at a special music school for talented children, I gained a solid foundation in both technique and musicality.
After this period, I continued my studies at the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Pedagogical University, where I earned a bachelor's degree in piano. During my studies, I further expanded my musical horizons by also learning to play the tenor saxophone.
My musical journey took me to international competitions in Ukraine, where I gained valuable stage experience and learned to play with expression and conviction. I also worked for three years as a piano teacher and concertmaster at a music school in Ukraine. During that time, I guided many students in their first steps in music and helped them grow into confident musicians.
Today, I bring this experience back to the Netherlands. As a young, energetic, and ambitious teacher (28 years old), I believe that music education isn't just about technique, but above all about fun, inspiration, and personal growth. My goal is to motivate students, stimulate their creativity, and discover the power of music together with them.
Education

Do you want to start playing the clarinet?
Do you want to improve your skills as advanced student?
Would you like to continue playing and learning the instrument in a rich and inspiring environment?

I offer clarinet & music lessons for individual students or small groups, attending different levels of experience, ages and needs, from beginners to advanced! My classes are personalised according to your level, interests and desires. During the leaning process, I weave the content and methodology together with the students, giving attentive orientation in all phases of the process.
I am a professional clarinet player and music pedagogue (BA), I hold a Master in Performing Arts, and I am trained in dance and movement disciplines. I perform in several contexts: solo, orchestra, ensamble, chamber music, and also in collaboration with other artistic disciplines.
In my classes I always like to offer a broad perspective of music and performance, combining it with other artistic languages and different styles. I like giving inputs and get inspiration from other disciplines (visual arts or performing arts for example) in order to experience music as a transversal artistic expression, to unfold imagination and to be playful making arts!
In my clarinet lessons, I also pay attention to the engagement of the body in performance. I give tools to develop awareness towards the body as a source for expression and producer of sound!

I can offer several options: online or live classes, from 30 to 90min.

Are you curious and want to know more? Do you still have doubts and questions?
Don't hesitate to contact me:)

Let’s begin your musical journey! Perhaps this is the first time you are playing an instrument? Or you are picking it up having played it years ago. Perhaps you have a dream of where or what you would like to play...or want to improve specific skills to simply enjoy playing more.

My aim is to create a path with you (or your child), to discover and develop ways to achieve your own musical goals.

I offer 30-minute instrumental lessons – these are aimed at beginner students to build stamina, posture and basic playing techniques.
You can combine this with an additional 30 minutes of musicianship, this is for children to build a solid foundation of musical skills –including rhythm, note reading and pitch, composition, tempo and more. Group lessons are possible for beginner players, these can be a fun and motivating way of learning together for students, however these would be regularly reviewed to ensure learning needs of each student are met.

I would recommend 60-minute lessons for intermediate student/adult students – this is to work on more complex musical skills, exercises and pieces.

Goals for lessons:
Making music from day 1
Exploring and refining the craft of playing the instrument
Setting reachable goals to build stamina, technique and musicianship
Developing ‘inner ear’ with aural exercises
Learning musical notation/composition
Casual performance opportunities solo or in a group (if desired)
Most importantly...having fun!

About me...
I have worked in instrument music education at schools, academies and privately for the last 12 years, whilst playing professionally as a freelance violin/viola player and conductor with orchestras, musicals and in community music settings in England. I thoroughly enjoy teaching, and base my approach on the needs of the student, using experience in different schools of music teaching - including traditional classical Suzuki and Kodaly principles to more modern day improvisation focussed educators such as Christian Howes and Bobby McFerrin.

Lessons available in English and Dutch.

Do get in touch if you have any questions!

Everyone learns differently. That's why I teach the way you want. You decide what you want to learn and how, including when your lesson takes place and how long it lasts.

I teach music theory, music history and/or composition/songwriting to anyone who wants to, regardless of age or level, at my home in Velp. You can learn about music from every genre from prehistory to the present. You can learn to read/write music notation and/or learn about the theories behind classical music, jazz and pop music. I can help you write songs and compositions, or analyze a piece of music. You can work towards an exam/test/training or just learn out of interest. Whether it's the history of the electric guitar or writing a fugue, I'm happy to teach you. Anything is possible.

I trained as a musician/writer and teacher. I have over 10 years of experience in education and have taught music theory, music history, art history, creative writing, and other subjects to the upper grades of a small secondary school, where I am also a team member. I have written music for film, theater, band, and orchestra. I have also performed extensively on stage. I write teaching materials that are used at various secondary and higher education schools. I have extensive experience with innovative teaching methods and one-on-one teaching.

If you are interested or have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Besides music lessons, you can also come to me for lessons in art history, creative writing and mathematics.
