About Me

Hello! My name is Michail, I am 33 years old, I am Greek, but I have spent eight years in the US for my studies! I pursued degrees in piano performance at the bachelor and master levels at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. I have just moved to the Netherlands in order to pursue further studies and I am living in Utrecht!

During my almost eight years in the United States, I was fortunate to teach students of several ages. I realized that my love for piano and music overall knows no boundaries when it comes to age! I love teaching younger children as much as I love teaching university students or adults that enjoy learning the piano! Lately, I am experimenting with the use of improvisation in my lessons as a tool to promote the constructive use of imagination and creativity. It proves that all ages can benefit from it!

I have taught group piano classes as an instructor at Ithaca College (during my graduate school years), as well as private piano lessons for four years. I have also taught for more than five years both younger students and university students. I enjoy both group piano classes and private lessons, but I always cherish the special relationship that forms between student and teacher after a long period of private piano lessons.

I have given theory lessons to several students on the side, either to help them sharpen their theory skills for our piano lessons or prepare them for an entry test. Theory lessons always go hand to hand with private lessons, especially for the beginners!

I am looking forward to sharing my passion for music and the piano with all the new people I will meet here ;)

Dear violin lovers! I'm a violin teacher for 10 years now, I have been teaching in Portugal and the Netherlands. My lessons can be given in English, Portuguese, French or Spanish.

Playing the violin is my passion, especially when I can pass on my knowledge and love for music to my students of all ages and levels.

I work as a team with you, finding the right method that fit your needs. What is important for me is to work on a good connection with the instrument and find the right basis for the start of your violin playing.
In my violin lessons, I would like also to share with you my musical knowledge, show you recordings of great violin players, prepare with you pieces that you always wanted to play and give you the tools so you can achieve your goals in music. I like to share the general knowledge of violin playing as well as basic and intermediate music theory lessons so you can enter in the world of music, but especially to have fun!!

My lessons can be shared between violin and theory together depending on what you are looking for.

The lessons will be at my house if you are in need of an instrument we can find one for you!

I did my Bachelor at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with the teachers Maria Milstein and Eliot Lawson and completed my Masters in Performance degree with excellency as well in Amsterdam under the guidance of Liviu Prunaru and Mathieu van Bellen while studying baroque violin with Shunske Sato.

I have my own violin class in Amsterdam, and I love teaching.

My name is Panagiotis and I am a guitar teacher/player. I have two bachelor degrees: Classical Guitar (Philippos Nakas Conservatory), Jazz&Pop Guitar (HKU Utrecht Conservatory). I have been teaching in music schools and giving individual lessons for the last 14 years. In 2017 I moved to Utrecht to continue my studies in jazz guitar at the Utrecht Conservatory and explore the Dutch music scene.I teach electric, acoustic, classical guitar and music theory. Besides the basic technique and theory knowledge, which Ι make sure to provide to each of my students , I individually prepare their study line, according to their taste and abilities. My goal is to help my students to find their own musicality and reveal their inner voice by giving them the most appropriate tools. Besides teaching I have two bands which I give lots of concerts with , at several venues and festivals.

I have also attended music theory classes for 6 years because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. Looking for a piano teacher? In Utrecht you will find the friendly Spanish professional pianist Mar. She lives in Utrecht and studies at the Rotterdam Codarts Conservatory of Music, and has already a master's degree from the Utrecht Conservatory (with pedagogical training as well)
She teaches in English, Spanish, Italian, German and soon in Dutch. Lessons can take place at your place or at my place (in the centre of Utrecht) as I have a beautiful grand piano at my disposal. Lessons in Utrecht (and surroundings), Houten, Vleuten, De Meern, Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

I finished my bachelor studies with the highest marks, I have experience as a concert performer and have won prizes in competitions and several scholarships prizes.

The way I teach actually depends entirely on the student. The way I explain the concepts, plan and structure the lessons and approach each subject all depends on whether the student is a beginner, intermediate or advanced, and whether he or she has some experience on the subject.

Each student has different needs and different abilities. It's just a matter of getting to know the student, in order to identify both the weaknesses and strengths on which to work.

Hi, I’m Heewon from South Korea and I currently study music in HKU Conservatory.

For about 14 years I have studied various aspects of music, I’ve studied piano, vocals and composition, and now I am studying piano in the jazz and pop course. Not only have I played lots of jazz and pop, I have played lots of classical, neo-soul and gospel, to me it’s important to be well versed in lots of genre’s. How amazing is it to play the music that lives in your head?
Piano is by no means difficult, it make’s for a great hobby and is a wonderful stress reliever.
My class is open for people of all skill levels and is held in English or Korean.

Essential parts of my lessons are:

*For beginners we’ll go through basic piano skills, basic music theory and reading sheet music.

Hi! I am a classically trained pianist and am graduating from the Utrecht Conservatory this year. My passion for the piano started at a young age: I started taking lessons when I was seven, after convincing my parents to enroll me.

From the age of thirteen, I started assisting my teacher and was already teaching younger students, from children as young as 3 to teenagers. As a result, I have built up extensive experience in teaching various ages and levels.
