The ideal starting point for the violin is to start young between 5 and 8 years old in order to develop bodily sensations more easily with the violin. If you are an adult musician, learning the violin is just as possible. Finally, if you want to start the violin without making any music beforehand, it will be important to familiarize yourself with reading notes, rhythms and singing :) Methods used: I adapt the methods according to the profile of the students. For young students, I prefer fun, illustrated methods, often with CD to accompany them. For the older ones, I try to balance between technical studies and pieces and also adapts to their request. Many students are preparing for the start of the new school year at EPFL, but many of them are lost and don't know where to start. Some drag gaps from gymnasium/college with them, which prevent them from starting to learn/relearn math and physics and prepare well for the start of the school year. In this course, I propose to supervise the student in his preparation. This course is adapted to the level in mathematics (standard and advanced) and physics (standard) of all sections of EPFL*. CONTENTS : The course aims to adapt to the needs of the student.
