Trusted teacher: Program Discover, learn or improve in acoustic or electric guitar, through styles of music of your choice. Objectives and skills Guitar lessons focus on the study of various playing techniques, the study of chords, harmony, as well as rhythm. This study is done through pieces of music of various styles, chosen according to the tastes of the student (s), to match their desires and desires. We will also learn the maintenance and structure of his instrument, as well as reading scores in tablature or music notation. Regarding this last point, it is important to specify that with Apolline, music theory is integrated into the instrument lesson, sparingly and in a manner consistent with the subject studied by the child. Thus, theory sticks to practice and becomes digestible and interesting. To learn more about this, see our article on music theory lessons. Learning music with Apolline How to leave the usually rigid framework of the first years of musical learning that is found in most schools in Switzerland? Based in Lausanne, Apolline has a different philosophy. Rather than offering children and adolescents to learn in individual lessons, lessons in small groups - from 2 to 3 students, depending on the instrument - are highlighted. Working in a group offers many advantages to beginners or inexperienced students. Apolline offers her students the possibility of joining a group workshop, in addition to the basic instrument course, so that they can play with other musicians of their age. Accompanied by a teacher, they will learn to play in groups, through covers or their own compositions.

Ludo - LausanneC$108
Trusted teacher: Guitarist for 30 years, I have acquired great experience in music. The aim of this course is to learn to play with other musicians. This is the essence of music for a musician. This course is an opportunity to play “live”, or “live”. Playing LIVE is not only playing in front of an audience, it's playing IN THE MOMENT. One of the things I see most often in class: a student playing a sequence of chords, a riff or a musical motif, who makes a mistake, and stops in his tracks to replay the missed game . This sort of thing, like leaving a blank in the passage between two chords, should not happen when you practice enough. The whole point of playing live is to keep playing even if you make a mistake. This is how we really progress. Playing live with another musician is: - play respecting the rhythm - know how to balance the sound - listen to the other, the other's game - develop your own game, while integrating and respecting each other's game - improvise, alone and / or in pairs - play in the moment, develop musical spontaneity - play without a net, “catch up” on an error, whether it is ours or that of the other musician - above all, one of the advantages of playing with other people is the immense PLEASURE that it provides - an incomparable feeling of satisfaction. - the other big advantage is that we progress ten times faster! :) A typical course will be divided into two parts: - the LIVE part, where we will play the song (s) studied - the more theoretical part, or learning, where we will return to what we have played as a basis for work and improvement As a working material / tool, we will record the live sessions, which will be used to listen again, target the points to be worked on, and as a reference for the progress achieved. In addition, the student will be able to listen and work from the recordings at home, or in his spare time. All stages of learning are important, and the usual, more “normal” lessons are fundamental, especially for those who are starting out or who are in a stuck phase, that is to say they feel limited or do not unable to move to a higher level. In all these cases, it is better to start with more classic courses. I give this kind of course too, don't hesitate to contact me, I can help you better assess your level, define your goals and help you reach them. I look forward to sharing with you my passion for the guitar! See you soon.

When I started lessons with Louis my goal was to deal with an English manager who was not nice with me... I explained my needs to Louis, then he prepared oral and writing exercises for me. He corrected many details for me so that I can be more confident by improving my technique in conversations. At meanwhile I got an interview to a new job, so I asked Louis to help me to prepare interviews as well. We worked on many possible questions in interviews and I was asked to replied and explained exactly those situations that we prepared together. I was able to replied in English fluently and confidently. Finally I got this job ! Thank you very much Louis.
