Hi there, Would you rather learn classical pieces? Relaxed jazz music? Or maybe the latest radio hits? You choose what you want to learn. We start from scratch, learn the basics of music theory and history and the first successes will soon come. Or you already have some experience and we will systematically build up your knowledge. The lessons can take place online or in person at your home. About my training: After many years of musical training in playing the piano and successfully completing a musical diploma, I have been giving piano lessons for three years, during which I was able to develop my teaching concept. Before that, I worked in early musical education for two years. I have also completed several courses that qualify me as a music teacher. I am also happy to teach the little ones. If you have a question or are interested, please contact me, then we can arrange a non-binding introductory meeting I'm happy for you!

I am currently on a year’s deferral from my studies at the Royal Academy of Music due to the COVID virus so now have more availability to teach! I have finished my second year at the Royal Academy of Music studying under Mark David and Will O’Sullivan. Prior to this, I was a student at Chetham’s School of Music receiving the highest level tutelage from world class players. Highlights of my playing career include playing a recital at Buckingham Palace, playing a fanfare for the Queen at Westminster Abbey for Commonwealth Day and recording two albums professionally, the first as Principal Trumpet of NYOGB and the second as Principal Fanfare Trumpet with the Gabrieli Consort. I have also had the pleasure to study under some of the biggest names within the trumpet world such as Reinhold Friedrich, Allen Vizzutti and Tine Thing Helseth, to name but a few. I also teach Piano as I hold both Grade 8 distinction in Piano (gained many years ago) and a Diploma in Music Theory which allow me to teach Piano to the highest level. I have a great passion for music that I love to share with students. I’m a firm believer that teaching doesn’t end when the hour is over and always encourage my students to freely contact me with any questions they discover during the week. I believe that the key to success with music is perseverance and having fun so I encourage my students to push themselves to be the best they can be, whilst also creating a fun learning environment!

All levels from beginner to advanced are welcome. I teach ages 4-18. My teaching style is friendly and every lesson is designed to suit each individual student, whatever their needs may be. I am enthusiastic about teaching and I enjoy conveying my passion for music to my students. Lessons are designed to be fun and to help each pupil achieve their musical goal. I can help with GCSE and A level music work as well as the composition and performance aspects of these exams. I can aid with secondary school music auditions and conservatoire/university auditions. For instrumental teaching I do both theory and practical grades to help with progression of the instrument. Music grades, I teach grade 1- diploma level on the violin and grades 1- 5 on the piano. I can teach grades 1-5 in music theory. I use both ABRSM and Trinity College London exam boards, tailoring the choice of the exam board to the needs and desires of the student. My lessons are designed to be enjoyed so there is the option to learn to play for fun or you can take exam grades. I like to build repertoire around exam grades in order to broaden the knowledge of other pieces. As well as working privately I also work with the Peterborough Music Hub delivering whole class instrumental lessons as well as small group and 1-1 music lessons at local schools. I am also an upper strings tutor with the Peterborough Youth Orchestra. Online Skype lessons currently available. Feel free to contact me and I look forward to hearing from you.
