My name is Max, I've been immersed in music my whole life and I've been teaching guitar for almost 15 years, both in private lessons and in YouTube videos since 2009, where I've accumulated over 130,000 subscribers. I offer to help you learn acoustic or electric guitar via Skype or other means. The program will cover technical aspects, as well as music theory, ear training, rhythm, composition, improvisation, and, of course, learning your favorite songs. Being versatile, I can adapt to all styles of music, and I am particularly comfortable teaching beginners. Don't worry, even if you have no experience, I am totally ready to accompany you :) For the more adventurous, there is also the possibility of an introduction to the bass, ukulele, piano and many other instruments. But it doesn't have to be this way, and for this I can help I've always loved theory, but it's because I started studying it by myself, way before I had to do conservatoire exams: so when the time came to approach it academically, it was easy. Theory is fascinating, it will reveal to you the mechanism of music - be it classical or pop - and will make playing and writing music much more natural. Like speaking a language you now know. I can teach it to you in a musical, natural and enjoyable way. All I ask from you is to have a small keyboard, but don't get intimidated - no piano skills are required! My name is Jose and I am currently an Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo. It wasn't until much later when I realized that these are very similar to the ideas that professional Nashville guitarists and some Berklee professors use themselves! For beginners: I can show you the building blocks of the guitar that will have you playing songs in no time. I will also teach you the most common chord progressions that will help you switch between chords without having to think. For those struggling with barre chords: I will show you how to simplify them and how to get your fingers in shape to eventually play the full chords. For intermediate guitarists: we will start moving up the guitar neck and playing chords in different keys and positions. With the CAGED system, you can play any open chord on any part of the guitar. Evie studied music at university in London and has been playing violin and viola for over 20 years.
