Guitar Lessons & Music Tutoring - American Berklee Graduate Based in Delft (Also Available in The Hague)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Dear Music Students, I am an American guitarist, composer, and teacher from the US newly relocated to the Netherlands, based in Delft and offering music lessons at home in my living room and at my studio location in the Hague. I did my bachelor's in guitar performance at Berklee College of Music where I specialized in Jazz, and hold master's degrees from Yerevan State Conservatory and Royal Conservatoire Antwerp where I specialized in Composition and Electronic music. While my background is in Jazz my interests have always been broad and I'm happy to work with students at a variety of levels of experience, stylistic backgrounds and interests. Whether you are new to music and to the guitar and want to just learn the basics and strum the chords to some songs or are already interested in more advanced techniques and challenging pieces I'm sure with my background, education and experience that I can be a helpful resource for you. I do understand a bit of Dutch but I don't speak well yet so my lessons are taught in English. Topics I like to focus on include: Improving Guitar Technique and Understanding of the Instrument, Understanding Music Theory, Reading and Writing Musical Notation, Learning how to Improvise, Composition & Arrangement Skills, Music Technology Hardware and Software, Ensemble Coaching, Class Assistance and Tutoring, University/Conservatory Preparation. Please feel free to get in touch with any questions or to express interest. Looking forward to working with you and wishing you all the best on your musical journey! Sincerely, Alexander

Concert Pianist graduated at Rome Conservatorium teaches Piano for all levelsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Concert Pianist graduated at Rome Conservatorium teaches Piano for all levelsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Since graduating at the Conservatory of Rome, teaching as well as performing has been one of my passions! I have been teaching piano for more than 8 years to students of all levels and age. I have experience with children, adults and also with students with different learning abilities. My students were always encouraged to take a step further and navigate through the world of piano under my guidance. My lessons are generally from half hour (for young children) to 1/1,5 hours. Depending on the level of the student, the lesson will include solfeggio and notions of musical theory, technique exercises and study of piano repertoire. My experience lies in classical piano repertoire, including Classicism, Baroque, Romanticism and Early Modern. I try to vary the program of my lessons and to choose the repertoire with the students, based on their taste and inclination. My teaching method is very structured and reflects the methodology taught in Conservatories, Music Academies and Universities. It is aimed at creating a solid basis to prepare for exams and auditions as well as giving the instruments for independent study. This type of method is of course suited also for amateur pianists too, who just want to play in their spare time - it will give them the opportunity to check their practice and receive relevant advice. Aside from the technique, participation, passion and fun are also fundamental! I pace each lesson to the needs and the preparation of the students, listen to their requests and choose with them the right path to follow. All my students are always satisfied with the relaxed and inspiring atmosphere of our lessons!

Piano lessons and/or music theory: from beginners to advanced levelsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Whether you are a music enthusiast who would love to play your favourite songs on the piano, an experienced musician looking to take the next step into your expressiveness and confidence when playing, or a student who needs to learn or reinforce music theory, you are in the right place! I'm Irene Martínez, a pianist and recent graduate of the Master of Music program at Codarts University of the Arts, and I would love for you to be my next student. I have previous experience teaching piano at different levels to people of many ages (children, teenagers, and adults), because I'm passionate about sharing my love of music and I believe that, with the right approach, everyone can be capable of expressing themselves through music. As a pianist, I have performed solo concerts of classical music, and also being part of ensembles, from chamber music to contemporary and other genres. I adapt my lessons and approach to the student's particular needs, so: - If you are already a pianist with some experience who wants to develop certain technical aspects and delve much deeper into musical expression... - If you are a beginner, or someone who wants to pick up playing again after a long time... - If you are interested in learning music theory in a much more efficient and fun way, relating everything you learn to your favourite music... - Either you want to prepare an entrance exam to pursue music in a professional way; or you want to keep it as a hobby... ...my lessons are definitely for you! I speak fluent Spanish, English, and French; so if you want to have lessons in one of these languages, don't hesitate to contact me! :)

🎼 Music theory & music theory clearly explained, with examples on the pianoTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Do you have trouble reading music? Do you love listening to music, but don't understand time signatures, keys or chords? Music theory often sounds abstract, but with the right explanation and concrete examples it suddenly becomes a lot more logical, and even fun :) For whom? - Beginner or advanced musicians who want to better understand what they are doing. - Students preparing for music theory exams (e.g. music school, entrance exams). - Independent artists/producers who want to deepen their musical knowledge. - Anyone who is curious about the language behind music. What can you expect? - Clear explanation, at your own pace. - Theory made immediately applicable with examples on the piano. - Extra attention to insight instead of learning dry rules by heart. - Tutoring fully tailored to your level and goal (classical, pop, songwriting, production, ...). About me I obtained a Grade 8 diploma in Music Theory and also a Grade 8 Piano from the Royal Schools of Music. In addition, I hold a diploma in Audio Engineering from Hofa College. I am active as a music artist and producer myself. Thanks to this combination of classical training and practical experience, I know how important it is to make theory understandable, concrete, and musical. I use my own piano during lessons to clarify everything visually and audibly. Possible topics: - Learn to read music. - Scales, chords & harmony. - Form and analysis (classical, jazz or pop). - Rhythm, time signatures & tempo. - Music theory for producers/songwriters. - Songwriting. - Preparation for exams or entrance tests. Practical - 1-on-1 lessons, online or live (if you don't live too far away). - I provide materials, or we work with what you need. - No prior knowledge required. Lessons adapted to your level. 🎶 Feel free to send me a message with your questions or goals. We'll see how I can best help you.

“ I started my lessons with Giorgia four months ago, and I am so glad to have found her. As a 26-year-old beginner, I was not sure if I should even try to pursue learning an instrument at this point. But now I am so glad I did! I am learning online, and I was a little unsure of how lessons via webcam would go. Despite my prejudice, everything turned out great, even though my setup is quite basic. Her approach to teaching is very creative. She is able to explain things that seem hard to put into words, and she always finds comparisons and descriptions that convey clearly little details of approach that make a lot of difference in the end result. For any difficulty I encountered, she presented methods of exercise that helped correct it. Another thing that I appreciate is that from one lesson to the next, the volume of work is challenging enough that I feel I am making progress, but not to the point that I am overwhelmed. Also, even though I am just beginning and the pieces are not that complex, she explains the musical interpretation in a way that not only helps me advance my skill but also enriches the way I understand and listen to music, and I find great value in that. Her manner of teaching is very organic, and she is a patient teacher with a warm presence. I wholeheartedly recommend her lessons! ”

“ Great teacher! I started acoustic guitar lessons from zero and I have learned so much with Sergio, he is an excellent teacher, very knowledgeable and patient, he also encourage you to keep practicing to achieve your goals while providing you with very useful material to do it. I really recommend Sergio as a music teacher, he plays a lot of instruments. Excelente profesor, yo empecé clases de guitarra acústica desde cero y he aprendido mucho con Sergio, sabe mucho y es muy paciente, además te anima a seguir practicando para que alcances tus metas y te provee muy buen material para lograrlo. Súper recomiendo a Sergio como profesor de música, sabe tocar muchos instrumentos. ”

“ Hello, Jakob has really been such a great teacher, I have never seen someone so enthusiatic about music...He is the type of person who can motivate you to learn and have fun with the instrument. I am total beginner in terms of music and violin, but yet the progress im making is amazing. The lessons are so much fun and i really enjoy learning from him. He is never afraid to go extra mile for his students, which is very rare these days. I look foreward to my classes every week. Overall, i have an amazing time learning violin, all thanks to him. ”
