Sigth-reading is a powerful tool to understand music theory, composition, phrase structure, form and analysis in general, in addition to improve music perception and help to sing in tune. Functional harmony leds musician to understand what is going on when their are playing the chords, the relations between chords, chords structures, what makes a harmony progression sounds like a rock, bossa nova or reggae and why some chords doesn't 'fit'. Welcome! I am pleased to offer lessons in composition (western/contemporary classical style), music theory (harmony, counterpoint, formwork) and orchestral arrangement. I also teach the principles of Arabic music theory (maqamat, templates.) My method of teaching emphasizes the creative participation of students in the lessons and a stimulating style of teaching that includes many practical examples and play. I plan each lesson carefully to match the student's needs and musical personality while at the same time teaching the students all the skills they need as musicians and encouraging them to try new things that can enrich their music.

Each voice has its own colour and the beauty that belongs to it. And I strive to discover that. It’s not easy as people always try to be someone else. From my experience, I know that the hardest thing is to get out of the box. When we manage to do that, we are free. I work with my students individually.
