Piano Lessons in English and Spanish for Children and Adults. At your home, via webcam or at the teacher's location in central Zürich

My name is Clara and I'm a classically-trained pianist and a piano teacher. I offer piano lessons in English or Spanish for Children and Adults (from 4-70 years old). My personal mission is to keep you motivated and committed to playing the piano. With this purpose, I use a method adapted to each student, taking into account what you want to achieve and what you like. In my classes, you will learn music comprehensively. My personalized lessons do not only focus on repertoire, but also on music theory, sight-reading, ear training, improvisation, and composition. You will be able to express yourself through playing several styles of music, creating performances full of artistry and musicality, and also to create their own music. You will also learn music history through extra group appreciation lessons and play four hand duets with other students or me. You will learn while having fun and will become a well-rounded and knowledgeable musician. You will: -Play and read songs from different styles quickly, working at the same time on piano technique, sight-reading, and musicality, and enhancing your talents. Do you want to play the songs that you like? Do you want to play for your family and friends? The goal is for you to enjoy playing the piano and to be able to play the pieces you like soon! -Lose your fear of music theory by studying it applied to the pieces that you learn. -Write your own songs, improvise and train your musical ear. -Learn several styles of music, starting from a classical approach and taking into account your preferences. -Play four hands duets with me, other students, or a family member. -Learn with a wide variety of materials and games, which will make you remember and reinforce musical concepts and enhance your learning in a fun way. -Know how to practice correctly, creating an effective routine that makes you feel excited and motivated at home. -Get constant feedback during the week. -Gain confidence in yourself thanks to your successes. -Celebrate and share your successes, feeling part of a supportive community. -Learn music history through the piano lessons and supplementary group lessons, where you are provided with lots of materials that work on composers' lives and works, listening guides, and many other interesting topics. -Benefit from the better academic results, the memory improvement, or increased self-esteem that learning an instrument provides. -Prepare for tests.

Violin lessons / Antwerp / beginners to advanced

Violin lessons / Antwerp / beginners to advanced

I am a Belgian violinist from the Ardennes, in Wallonia. I have participated in numerous masterclasses in Belgium and abroad with teachers such as Emile Lavrenov, Liesbeth Baelus, Sylvia Huang, Bartlomiej Ciaston, Andrzej Grudzien, Caroline Poncelet, Lilia Umnova, and Guido de Nève. Drawing inspiration from various examples and broadening my horizons are among my most important goals. In 2020, I joined Marek Kowalski's class at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where I obtained my bachelor's degree three years later. Afterwards, I studied for a year at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf in the class of Solenne Païdassi, after which I began my master's at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp with Alexei Moshkov and Aki Saulière. I frequently participate in orchestral projects and tours, and also enjoy performing as a chamber musician at festivals and all kinds of concerts. I have made recordings with chamber music ensembles and orchestras, including for film music. I have also had the opportunity to perform as a soloist with an orchestra. I have recently started developing my pedagogical skills, which I find extraordinarily interesting! I enjoy every meeting with a new student and find it fascinating to see the musical and personal development of each of them. To further develop my teaching skills, I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Didactics at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp.

Piano and Musical theory lessons, Ghent (Physical/online)

Piano and Musical theory lessons, Ghent (Physical/online)

English below* Hello everybody! My name is Alejandro. I am a professional classical pianist with a bachelor and two master degrees (one in the conservatory of Ghent "classic piano performance master" and another in Spain "teaching master"). At the moment I am also studying another master classical fortepiano in the Conservatory of Amsterdam. I have a lot of experience teaching in various music schools, professional academies and also privately. I have given piano concerts in several countries such as Spain, England, Italy and Belgium, so I am quite open minded in my teaching and I try to adapt my experience abroad to all types of students. I mainly teach in English, Dutch and Spanish. My lessons are focused on the individual needs of the student, taking into account what each student has to improve. Enjoying music is the most important goal in my teaching method. I can mainly teach in the student house, but I have my own keyboard in my home in Ghent Center. Online is also an option (I also have experience with this way of working). I am always available for students to send questions or doubts during the week! Don't hesitate to contact me for all your questions. // Hello everyone! My name is Alejandro. Percussion Lessons (Tuned percussion, marimba, xylophone, vibraphone, non-tuned percussion, drum kit)

Percussion Lessons (Tuned percussion, marimba, xylophone, vibraphone, non-tuned percussion, drum kit)

This class would be open to performers of all abilities. If you are looking for lessons in percussion (tuned or non-tuned), or the drum kit then I hope I can help you! I have been fortunate enough to perform with many orchestras across the UK, and as a solo artist. This has included performing in a masterclass at the Cambridge International Jazz Festival with Dame Evelyn Glennie, winning the Canterbury Festival Young Musician competition, being a solo artist at Deal Music and Arts Festival, and performing with the BBC Concert Orchestra. I have been a percussionist since the age of 9 and studied orchestral percussion at Trinity Laban Conservatoire from 2015-2019. This year, I was a graduate professor at New York University, where I created and taught a curriculum for Music Composition, Beginner Film Scoring. The curriculum covered the basics of music theory, composition, orchestration, instrumentation, and composing to picture. The course covered all types of media, such as animation, video game, advertisements, and film. Students also learnt how to utilize DAWs for creating music. I obtained my Master of Music in Film Scoring and music theory from New York University, where I was chosen by Alan Menken to be a recipient of the Alan Menken Scholarship. I achieved my Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Oxford, where I was awarded a scholarship in performance from the Royal Academy of Music.

“ Eamonn has a great approach to teaching. A mixture of theory and practice tailored to the student. Even from the first lesson I felt that I had progressed in exactly the way I needed, and will continue with more lessons. Great stuff! ”

“ Very professional and great at what he does! He easily adjusted to what I wanted out of the lessons and got a plan and material ready for our lessons. I would gladly recommend him to anyone looking for a great guitar teacher! ”
