My name is Arjen. I tutor and give exam training in math and physics for upper secondary education (Dutch HAVO/VWO, IB, or other similar programmes). As an Aerospace Engineer, I help students not only with solving problems, but especially with understanding the “why” behind the theory. I start with a short diagnosis: where is the real difficulty? Based on this, I create a personal learning plan that I share with the student. In this way we work in a focused way on those areas where most is to be gained. During the sessions, the focus is on recognizing structure and analyzing problems step by step, so that students become more independent and their confidence gets a boost. In my explanations, I regularly use examples from technology and engineering. By linking abstract theory to real applications, it becomes clearer where the mathematics or physics comes from and what it is needed for, and things often suddenly “click”. I can give lessons both at home and via an online connection. In the latter case, I do this using a tablet, allowing you to follow my explanations and examples live on your screen. After the the lessons, I create personal practice exercises when needed, tailored to the student’s level and learning goals. In this way, we work not only towards better results in the short term, but also towards a strong foundation for future studies.

You learn to structure your homework in various subjects. We will find out which way suits you best. After all, everyone has their own way of teaching themselves something. For example, a subject that you dread can become your favorite subject. I can also help you with the courses on technical studies, especially in the field of mechanical engineering / aeronautical engineering. I can also help you for the subjects arithmetic, mathematics and physics.

I can tutor in Mathematics B, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, French, English, and Philosophy. And I can tutor secondary school students of all levels and years. (I cannot tutor Philosophy to HAVO students because this is a very different subject than at VWO). I am flexible and can adapt to what the student prefers; helping with homework or explaining the material, etc. I work in a structured manner and can explain things clearly. The goal of my lessons is to ensure that the student understands the material better, so that the student can apply the material independently to unfamiliar problems.

In mathematics, you can learn basic geometry, and algebra, and progress to the level of applied mathematics, including calculus, differential equations, and more. Similarly, in physics, you can expect to cover topics ranging from the fundamentals to advanced levels. As I hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I can provide assistance in engineering subjects such as heat transfer, thermodynamics, and more. Furthermore, I have a master's degree in Photovoltaic Systems (solar energy), so I can offer guidance and help in this field as well.

Basic maths and algebra is an essential topic for students throughout basic education (kindergarden through highschool), as well as being a fundamental base for future appliance of the topic, or even to advanced maths. The lessons aim to build a profound foundation for the pupil and create a mathematical thought process that will help them thoughout their study and future careers.

Do you have trouble with mathematics (A, B, C or D), or do you want more support to get that higher grade? Then I can help you! My name is Max, master student at the TU Delft and I have been working as a tutor for over 6 years now. My aim is, in addition to teaching the teaching material, to jointly develop a way of tackling issues structurally. Many students indicate that they understand the material better and can apply it better as a result. With these tools you can go into a test or exam with more confidence and you will see that your grades improve. I tutor at all levels in the Delft and Zoetermeer area, both physically and online. Other subjects are also possible in consultation. I also have experience in tutoring students with ADHD/ADD, dyslexia and learning disabilities. References from former students are available if desired. Are you interested or do you want more information? Then respond to this ad!

I specialize in IBDP Economics HL/SL, Maths HL, Chemistry HL/SL and Physics HL/SL. I got my IB Diploma in May 2019. I can help with exam preparation, learning content, assignments, organization and time management skills. My tutoring aims to challenge the student, but not overwhelm them, and to first make sure their concepts are clear and that they understand the material. I can help them get rid of any misconceptions and doubts they may have. I feel like I would make a great tutor as I know my subject very well and am part of the latest IBDP graduating class as well, making my knowledge of the system very reliable and fresh. I am happy to provide periodic progress reports.

I work with two kinds of students: those preparing to meet university math admission requirements (OMPT, CCVX, VWO), and those already enrolled who need solid support in calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, probability & statistics, or discrete math including students at TUM, ETH Zurich, TU Delft, KTH, EPFL, and RWTH Aachen. Lessons are in English; I can explain in German where it helps.

Struggling with math, physics, or chemistry? You're not alone — these subjects are hard, and classroom explanations are rarely enough. I offer personalized tutoring for middle school, high school, and early university students following the French Mission curriculum, the Moroccan national curriculum, or the international baccalaureate. Topics covered: Mathematics: algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, probability Physics: mechanics, electricity, optics, thermodynamics Chemistry: organic, inorganic, stoichiometry, reactions My approach: I don't re-explain the textbook — I identify exactly where your understanding breaks down and fix it from there. Each session is built around your specific difficulties, not a preset program. I completed CPGE (Classes Préparatoires aux Grandes Écoles) in Mathematics and Physics before graduating as a State Engineer — I know these subjects at an advanced level and I know where students typically get lost. Individual and small group sessions available. Online (worldwide) in French, Arabic, or English.
