IB Maths, Economics, Physics and Chemistry Prep Tutoring

From 89 C$ /h

I specialize in IBDP Economics HL/SL, Maths HL, Chemistry HL/SL and Physics HL/SL. I got my IB Diploma in May 2019. I can help with exam preparation, learning content, assignments, organization and time management skills.
My tutoring aims to challenge the student, but not overwhelm them, and to first make sure their concepts are clear and that they understand the material. I can help them get rid of any misconceptions and doubts they may have.

I feel like I would make a great tutor as I know my subject very well and am part of the latest IBDP graduating class as well, making my knowledge of the system very reliable and fresh.

I am happy to provide periodic progress reports.

As an experienced private tutor I can help with geography (substructure), biology (substructure), German, English, French, history, Greek and Latin culture, Latin, social studies 1, Dutch & mathematics A / C.

I have been helping high school students with these courses for almost 12 years; I can also help primary school students with English, maths and language.

Mathematics allows you to create a variety of career options because math is used in many professions. For example, it offers solutions to difficult issues such as those that arise in the financial world, or for example to climate change, DNA issues and technological developments that require a lot of calculations. Mathematics is not only a way of reasoning, it is also a tool to arrive at an accurate solution. This way you will be able to see connections more quickly and develop an analytical capacity. With mathematics you train your brain to calculate faster, but also to make well-founded decisions.

Lesson 1. Fractions
Lesson 2. Exponents
Lesson 3. Drawing carrot
Lesson 4. Getting rid of brackets
Lesson 5. Dissolving into Factors
Lesson 6. Percentages

Choose one of the above lessons that you follow, a lesson lasts about one hour. Of course, a combination is also possible. We agree in advance how much time you want to spend.

In mathematics, you can learn basic geometry, and algebra, and progress to the level of applied mathematics, including calculus, differential equations, and more.

Similarly, in physics, you can expect to cover topics ranging from the fundamentals to advanced levels. As I hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I can provide assistance in engineering subjects such as heat transfer, thermodynamics, and more.

Furthermore, I have a master's degree in Photovoltaic Systems (solar energy), so I can offer guidance and help in this field as well.

Economics and business economics are the foundation for furthering your career in finance. Mathematics (calculation) is a prerequisite for continuing your studies at a university of applied sciences (HBO), as the foundation is crucial.

With almost five years of experience, I help students overcome their barriers. Every student is unique and has their own learning method. Each student receives a different learning approach. Each lesson includes homework and theory. I also incorporate real-world examples. The lessons are tailored to each student's needs.

I am currently a Student at University of Amsterdam studying Bioinformatics. I can offer to teach you about Science, including Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science on a High School level, or Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology and Neuroscience on University level.

Hello there!

Do you need help with IB or IGCSE Economics, English or Politics? Are teachers just not enough? Well then, let me help you!

My name is Lauend, a student pursuing a BSc in Political Science. I am an experienced tutor specializing in IB and IGCSE Economics, English, and Politics, with a strong academic background and a student-centred teaching approach.

Having completed both IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate, I understand these curricula from the inside—not just in terms of content, but in how examiners think, how mark schemes are structured, and where students commonly lose marks. This allows me to teach strategically, with a clear focus on exam performance, conceptual understanding, and long-term academic confidence.

I already have hands-on tutoring experience with students at different ability levels, ranging from those aiming to consolidate core knowledge to high-achievers targeting top grades. Each student receives a curated learning plan, adapted to their strengths, weaknesses, pace, and academic goals. I have taught and supported IGCSE and IB DP students at schools such as the Amsterdam International Community School and the Rotterdam International Secondary School.

Through my holistic, tailor-made tutoring for each student, I can help you not only achieve higher marks in IB and IGCSE, but also (and more importantly) understand and apply these subjects in the real world, a useful skill that will become increasingly valuable throughout life.

Whether you’re aiming to boost your grades, sharpen your essays, or finally feel confident walking into exams, I’m here to help make the process clearer, calmer, and more effective.

Experienced English and French teacher offering personalised lessons for children, teenagers and adults. I specialise in after-school support, helping students build confidence, improve language skills, and stay organised with their homework.

• English and French language learning
• Homework help and study skills
• Cambridge English preparation (Young Learners, Starters, Movers, Flyers, etc.)
• Confidence-building for speaking and communication
• Tailored support for international or bilingual students
My teaching style is fun, calm, and encouraging while maintaining clear progress and structure. I use an online learning platform where all materials, exercises, and lesson content are shared so students and parents can easily follow progress.
Lessons are available:
✔ Online
✔ At your home (house calls possible depending on location)
✔ After school hours and flexible scheduling
My goal is to make learning positive, motivating, and effective so children feel comfortable, supported, and proud of their progress.

My name is Arjen. I tutor and give exam training in math and physics for upper secondary education (Dutch HAVO/VWO, IB, or other similar programmes). As an Aerospace Engineer, I help students not only with solving problems, but especially with understanding the “why” behind the theory.

I start with a short diagnosis: where is the real difficulty? Based on this, I create a personal learning plan that I share with the student. In this way we work in a focused way on those areas where most is to be gained. During the sessions, the focus is on recognizing structure and analyzing problems step by step, so that students become more independent and their confidence gets a boost.

In my explanations, I regularly use examples from technology and engineering. By linking abstract theory to real applications, it becomes clearer where the mathematics or physics comes from and what it is needed for, and things often suddenly “click”.

I can give lessons both at home and via an online connection. In the latter case, I do this using a tablet, allowing you to follow my explanations and examples live on your screen.

After the the lessons, I create personal practice exercises when needed, tailored to the student’s level and learning goals. In this way, we work not only towards better results in the short term, but also towards a strong foundation for future studies.
