I specialize in tutoring jazz music for all levels. My goal is to inspire my students. I assign homework after every lesson and each month each student will record an online concert based on the tunes we learned. This class is about learning new ways of expression through repertoire, theory-harmony, and ways of improvising in other styles of music (classical, etc.). You will learn a variety of creative exercises and the most exciting thing is that the students are about to create his/her own exercises through my guidance. If you are absolute beginner you will learn how to improvise by learning new songs.

Violin is an extremely versatile instrument which sounds great when applied to any genre of music. From Pop to Rock to Jazz and Folk, the Violin will always add more flavour and spice to any song! However with so many experts telling us that Violin is one of the hardest instruments to learn, it can feel quite daunting to take the plunge and commit to learning. I am here to tell you that it really doesn't have to be that way! I have tailored these classes to those more self indulgent learners who want a relaxed and easy learning experience without feeling like you are expected to become a virtuoso violinist in the Classical world. I will also teach you how to read music and get to grips with some essential music theory. See you soon, Anthony 🎻🎶

Everybody can sing! In my classes I will guide you to find your own voice, through vocal exercises and movements, self-perception and listening. My desire is that the student enjoys his or her voice and singing without hurting or using extra tension and specially that he/she has the tools to know the instrument, so to know yourself. In addition to vocal technique, I offer interpretation tools and music theory through repertoire work (songs) so that the student can interpret different styles and sing along with other musicians. I studied vocal technique with teachers from the Rabine Institute in Germany and I have also taken a lot of courses of dance, theater and Alexander Technique that I use for my lessons in order to have an holistic approach of the voice and our body as an instrument. Let's have fun! If you would like to improve your knowledge about jazz music, I can teach you repertoire, improvisation, composition

"Music is a social experience". That's the main thing that, regardless of wanting to be a professional musician or just play to have fun, music can offer to us: we can learn how to be among people, and get to know things about music itself, people and even ourselves! It's also a great way to get our own personality and have fun: it enhances our sensitivity and it's just a fun way to spend time! Anyways, how rude, I'm Enrico, a world-touring guitar player, composer and band leader, and I'm really glad you're reading this presentation. I grew up in a small town in the South of Italy, Crispiano, where I started playing guitar as a game, because it was such a great way to spend my afternoons and get together with my friends, just like playing video games or soccer, and here I am now ... my passion became my life! I like to teach that in my lessons: how fun it is to discover new things on your instrument and share them with all your friends ... starting with me. I'd love you to play with me during our lessons and learn things by doing them, starting with what you already like, playing your favorite songs together so you can go out and do the same with your friends! I've been lucky enough to meet teachers and colleagues that had the same approach with me, starting from my classical guitar studies in Italy, through the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where I'm currently finishing my jazz guitar Bachelor, till the masters or jazz music in New York City, which I had the luck to study with, like Peter Bernstein, Barry Harris or Dave Kikoski. This led me, despite my young age, to share the stage with great superstars on the international jazz scene such as Joe Magnarelli, Gadi Lehavi, Felix Rossy and many others and recording my first album, "Social Music" out with A.MA Records in July 2019!

This lessons are for everybody who love music and wants to deepen his knowledge of music and singing. No particular starting level is required. My goal is to organize the lessons in two parts: technique and repertoire. Every voice is different and everyone has different tastes, so each lesson will be organized according to the wishes and the needs of the students.

I think of myself as social musician. I mostly like to play sharing music with others. My first priority goes to having an interesting/charming/ resonant full sound. Then i work on how to connect your ears to your instrument so that you can play as simple as possible in a way that you can hear it before you are getting to play it on saxophone. We can also work on repertoire based on taste in music of your choice. If we choose some music that you like before actually studying it, this is a strong motivation for the student to go for it ! I am mostly an alto and tenor player but i can teach to any other kind of saxophone like baritone, soprano etc. My sound , technique and lessons are mostly coming from jazz music(blues ,swing , mostly American music of 20s-60s) I assign homework after every lesson about the technique of the saxophone but also the possible tools of improvisation in music.

As for my teaching style, I care a lot about the basis, so students I have usually have a very stable ability of playing piano. I also care a lot about every characteristic that the student has to adjust my way of teaching. Until now, I've already had students in both classical and jazz with different levels and ages.

This class includes absolutely everything what the student is interested in terms of jazz and improvised music since the openness of Markus and thanks to the previous experience from CVA in terms of teaching and playing jazz in the Amsterdam Scene. Markus follows a more open-environment learning atmosphere whilst keeping the traditional teaching methods in mind. Technique exercises and information about the improvised music are the 2 pillars of the lesson. Also, its good to mention that the lessons are not what you'd expect from a traditional lesson. We rarely use paper in the lesson and the most important aspect is not the eyes but the ears. Since improvisation doesn't use paper, why would we use it in the lesson?
