I am a UK-qualified teacher with a decade of experience teaching and leading at some of the best international schools around the world - Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. My work teaching and leading departments in schools included curriculum planning and design, assessing & tracking hundreds of students, supporting student university applications, and implementation of additional measures for students with specific learning support needs. I believe that education is most effective as an interesting, constructive and engaging discussion between student, class and teacher; enjoyable and stimulating, rather than stressful and pressure-laden. I keep my classes light and relevant, while also maintaining high standards for students to build their expectations for themselves. I am CELTA-qualified and my experiences teaching non-native English around the world have helped me understand the challenges faced by students studying subjects in their second- or third- language. If you're having some challenges with your studies, please feel free to reach out to me and we can talk about your needs and a plan. All my classes are online. Subjects I offer: English Language/Literature Business Studies/Management History Geography Social Studies/Sciences Philosophy Theory of Knowledge Global Perspectives Sociology Psychology Politics Civics

English Lessons for students/adults with an Experienced Native SpeakerTranslate this text using Google Translate.

English Lessons for students/adults with an Experienced Native SpeakerTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Summary: I am a native English speaker with ten years' of tutoring experience. I specialise in English Language learning for non-native speakers and teaching students with special educational needs, particularly dyslexia and dyspraxia. However, I have taught every subject at some point! Qualifications: I am TEFL certified, with a cum laude (distinction) Master's in International Relations, a published author and ghost writer of two books. Professionally I have a background in public affairs and corporate communications - but my lessons are definitely not corporate or tedious! My students: I tend to focus on student/business learners. However, I am willing to take on younger students after discussion with the parents although it is more difficult in an online environment! If you are looking for some extra help with your English, want to learn for the enjoyment, you're a student looking to improve their writing skills for their upcoming exams, or a non-native speaker working in an international environment where English is required, then I can help you. My style: My lessons focus on my student’s needs and goals, so that the materials are engaging and relevant to them. My style is fun, practical and usually informal. The trick for me is to make the lessons fun, so that students look forward to them, and implement a clear system to display progress along the way.
