I am a singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, graduate of Berklee College of Music (BM), and a lifetime student of traditional music. I have been teaching music for 6 years, and I am passionate about fostering a love for music in my students instead of simply teaching by rote. A lot of teachers focus excessively on the instrument being taught, instead of focusing on the music. An instrument is a tool for expressing music, and while a good technique is important, the real goal is learning how to apply the technique to express yourself. I tailor to my students’ individual tastes, using the music they love to teach them how to use the instrument. At Berklee, I gained a strong knowledge of jazz harmony and was introduced to many music styles from around the world. I can teach Bluegrass, New Acoustic Music, Celtic Music, Folk Songs, Jazz, Jazz Manouche, Blues, Pop, and Rock. In addition, I can use my songwriting expertise to help critique and develop your original music.

An experienced expert with Master Degree in Music Arts teaches guitar: classical music; popular music; musical notation; song accompaniment; chords; tablature; the basics of playing electric instruments (solo, bass). Individual approach; developing an individual curriculum for each student. All ages are welcome. Lessons can be taught in English, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish.

Playing the classical guitar can be utterly gratifying for professionals and amateurs alike; molding unique sounds with our fingers and expressing our inner selves. Even more so, playing an instrument is a way to escape some of our everyday problems. Learning to play the classical guitar, on the other hand, can often be frustrating; progress sometimes feels impossibly slow, and there are way too many things that need our full attention. I'm here to help you make your practice more focused, purposeful, and efficient; establish a routine that will allow you to develop a solid technique, with a musical touch and an all-around repertoire. I only work with a small selection of students, and I treat each of them individually. If you are interested in learning more and discussing my approach or taking lessons, feel free to contact me. I teach both online and at my place in Berlin.
