I'm from Switzerland but I spent most of last year in Brazil, where I was doing research for my PhD in history and where I was once again in the position of learning a foreign language – a valuable experience for any language teacher. Languages are my passion, whether learning or teaching them. I have over 10 years of experience in teaching German as a foreign language on the most diverse level, in language schools, high schools and even a prison. Thus I can offer tailor-made individual classes. The pillar of my practice-based method is that the students use the language on topics and situations that are really important for them, be it daily-life situations or specific topics they need vocabulary for. Of course, grammar explanation and practice is important, too. And there is also a place for fun, through learning games, German songs etc.

For Hobbyists & Advanced Players If you've already played the flute (or another instrument) and want to expand your repertoire or improve your sight-reading skills, I’ll help you develop fluency in playing and reading music. I’ll share tips and techniques to help you play the pieces you love with ease! Flexible Scheduling On-demand courses are available for those with limited availability, and I am flexible in rescheduling lessons. About Me I took flute lessons for over seven years and played in several orchestras during that time, including a classical quartet in Germany, where I gained valuable insights into ensemble playing. I have performed at weddings, churches, events, and funerals, gaining experience in adapting music to different settings and emotions. For me, music is not just about technical proficiency or theoretical knowledge—it’s about bringing a piece to life with your own feelings and emotions and expressing them through the flute. I have over two years of teaching experience with both beginner and advanced students in Germany and Korea. My goal is to help each student not only improve their technique but also find their own voice through the flute.

I work professionally, needs-oriented, flexibly, humorously, empathetically, creatively and have a well-filled "toolbox". You tell me what your goal is and what your interests are. Then together we will find the best learning methods and materials for you. For me it's not about "cramming", but about discovering learning content that interests you while having fun. If you are a beginner: I speak good English and have basic knowledge of French, Russian and Spanish, if it should ever be necessary. I have been teaching German as a foreign or second language in various language institutes for 30 years. I have had many interesting intercultural experiences with participants from all over the world - in individual lessons, in small groups, in large groups of up to 25 students, in person and online at levels A1 - C1. I am also an ÖSD examiner and lecturer for medical professionals. I have had three years of experience teaching professional language courses in this field, teaching midwives, nurses and physiotherapists.
