This class introduces students to the art of writing across creative fiction, nonfiction, and essays. Through guided exercises, reading examples, and interactive workshops, students will learn how to develop original ideas, structure compelling narratives, and express their thoughts clearly and effectively. The course focuses on building strong writing foundations, including storytelling techniques, descriptive language, organization, and revision skills. Students will explore different genres, experiment with their voice, and gain confidence in sharing their work, all while developing critical thinking and creativity.

I am convinced that one of the most effective ways to learn a language is to start speaking it; hence, we will definitely have an "English only" policy in our classes. Don’t worry though! We’ll focus heavily on speaking so you can freely talk about your everyday life, communicate with strangers while traveling, and even spill the tea with me without overthinking your grammar. There are no specific textbooks, but separate lessons on different topics that include grammar, vocabulary, rules, and also movies, songs, TV series, and games, so you can grasp the language in various ways. Together, these two disciplines complement each other and will equip you to create compelling, well-crafted work in any project.

1. Academic Writing This course equips students with the skills necessary to produce effective, coherent, and persuasive academic texts. It emphasises critical reading, argumentation, and the proper integration of sources using citation standards (e.g., APA or MLA). Students learn how to craft research questions, structure essays and reports, and revise their writing for clarity and precision. The course also addresses issues of plagiarism, language accuracy, and academic style, preparing learners to publish or present their work in scholarly settings. 2. Methods Course The methods course introduces students to research design and methodology in the social sciences (or other relevant disciplines). It covers both quantitative and qualitative approaches, highlighting sampling strategies, data collection techniques, and methods of analysis. Students gain practical experience with tools such as surveys, interviews, and statistical software, while also discussing epistemological foundations and ethical considerations. By the end, students are able to design and implement independent research projects, analyze findings, and critically evaluate existing studies. 3.
