Trusted teacher: • My teaching techniques and methods: * Techniques used according to the profiles and needs of the students, as well as the planning courses: direct, indirect and interactive teaching. - Direct teaching is defined by a deductive approach: first presentation of the rule illustrated by examples. Concepts of presentation, explicit teaching, independent exercises, demonstration, etc. - Indirect teaching is characterized by an inductive approach: research, problem solving, discovery and decision-making lead to the acquisition of knowledge. Notions of reasoning, discussion, hypotheses, conclusions, help in developing thoughts and solving problems, curiosity, creativity, stimulation, learning process, observation, interpretation, synthesis, etc. - Interactive teaching is supported by thoughtful discussion and sharing. Notions of debates, role-playing, cooperative learning, etc. * The techniques implemented vary according to the profiles and aspirations of the students. Thus, the first lesson is entirely or partly dedicated to the framing of the student's needs and to the structuring of the course that he will follow over several weeks. * In the context of homework help/tutoring, we move forward as the water progresses, according to the specific needs of the students. The resources mobilized are in particular the materials transmitted by the students' teachers, my own resources and methods (resulting from my years of study, my personal research, etc.), and any other available resources. * As part of a thematic course, a schedule is ideally set in advance. • Typical course of one of my courses: * Exchange time of a few minutes to find out where the student is and of the "weather of emotions and fatigue" type to adjust the course if necessary * Lesson time whose time is distributed differently between moments of explanations, exercises, exchanges, questions/answers, etc. * Final discussion time of a few minutes to take stock of the session and plan what will be done in the next class. • My specificities as a teacher: * I am very attentive, very patient, able to value all work and progress. I love the transmission which is done in an original way thanks to my mixed profile nourished by the rigor and richness of higher education as well as the pragmatism of the business environment. • Who are my courses aimed at (diploma, level, class, specificities, etc.)? * All students from the 6th to the License looking for methodological advice and orientation assistance. * All students between 6th and 12th for all subjects. * 1st and Terminale students taking these subjects: Economics and Social Sciences, French, History, Sociology, Philosophy, languages (English and Spanish), Mathematics (Bac ES level). * Higher education students up to License 2/3 level in these subjects: Economics, Sociology, History, Management, Financial Analysis, Business Strategy.

Trusted teacher: After years of working in financial positions in the corporate world, I switched to education in 2016. At the moment I teach at the CIOS in Sittard. There I teach the Mathematics and Entrepreneurship courses. I also taught (Business) economics courses at other schools. I enjoy the contact with the students and I like to transfer knowledge. The aim is to ensure a low-threshold approach. I also live in beautiful South Limburg with my girlfriend and our two children. In my spare time I like to go out on a road bike or mountain bike. When providing 1-on-1 lessons, I think it is important that there is an accessible, personal approach with a lot of time for the individual. Only in this way does the student get the feeling that he can ask all the questions that concern him. Often the problem is not even in the material itself, but rather it is more about helping to go through the theory together, in understandable language. In addition, it may turn out that other basic skills are not yet sufficiently available. We are also working on this. I always try to make clear what the structure is that is used to solve a problem. This gives the student more support. It is also important that the student learns to take responsibility for himself. My Mathematics tutoring is for MBO, VMBO, secondary education and PABO. I also tutor Economics and Business Economics for VMBO, HAVO and VWO. Since the classes take place online, we have great flexibility regarding the time when the class can take place. During the Corona crisis I gave a lot of online tutoring and I really liked it.

Trusted teacher: I received a bachelor’s degree University College London, a master’s degree at the London School of Economics and a PhD in international relations at London Metropolitan University. I have taught at high school, undergraduate and post-graduate levels: in high schools and universities in the United States, as well as in universities in the United Kingdom and Hungary. I have guided many students through their GCSE, IB and Oxbridge exams. I have also helped prepare students taking standardized tests such as the ISEE, SHSAT, ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT and LSAT. I have taught classes and tutored students in fields as diverse as history, political science, international relations, law, mathematics and English language. I enjoy teaching, and his students have consistently recorded great improvements in their test scores following classes with him. He has taught online as well as in-person, large classes as well as students one-on-one. My favorite curriculum to teach is the IB, precisely because it emphasizes the interdisciplinary academic approach that he has always followed. Among the IB subjects I teaches are Mathematics and Economics. I also teach Theory of Knowledge and guide students over the Extended Essay. My approach to education is as follows: “Education is a passion of mine. There is nothing more satisfying than the experience of imparting knowledge, wisdom or even a learning technique to another person. It is particularly pleasing when this transmission leads to an enormous improvement in the life of another. That a student has succeeded in passing a test and, as a result, has been admitted to a school or university or even business school or law school that he or she had only vaguely dreamed of is immensely gratifying. “I enjoy inspiring students to learn more, to want to know more, to strive for more. Because my concern is exclusively an improvement in their lives, my students have always responded well to me. As a consequence, from the moment they begin studying with me their results and test scores start to improve dramatically. My teaching is always focused on the student's individual needs and his particular aptitudes. I devise my curriculum and teaching program around those, always keeping in mind that each student is different and what works with one student will not work with another.”
